I don't think I wrote about this on here, but since y'all are my friends, I think you oughta know.
Long story short, I applied for a position at Key Bank, went through four interviews where I was told I was the top candidate by district managers and heard positive things through the grapevine about me. I was all but offered the job (given a tour of the branch, telling me "that's your desk, meet these people you'll be working with" etc) when I asked about the hours. I felt like I had the job at this point. Branch Manager asked me why I wanted to know about the hours. I revealed I needed to find day care. Suddenly, I couldn't get a call back from the recruiter, who normally answered my calls and enthusiastically returned my calls within an hour.
The least they could have done at that point was told me I didn't have the job.
In other words, I feel I was discriminated against for having a child. How else do you go from "top candidate" to "can't get a return call?"
The end.
Help me find a job, k plzthxbai.
