OH. MY. GOD.

You are brilliant. BRILLIANT. I will write a more lengthy review tomorrow because there are a million things I want to say about how good this is. The characterization is PERFECT. The idea and his desperation and her doing that for him and to him? You are geniussss missy. You should be so proud of such GOOD writing, I want to live in it.

First of all, I can't even begin to tell you how clever and completely realistic this idea is. I'm almost annoyed that there's no way for them to do this now because MISSED OPPORTUNITY LIKE CRAZY. I mean, this is a little beyond TVD standards because it's a pretty thin line to step over (and it's a little too clever for them) but they've had Katherine pretend to be Elena with Stefan before in S2 and he's always know but because he is so desperate, so thin (which you captured so well, btw, how weak he is, how crippled by the blood, I mean, right off the bat you nailed it: The blood of his latest victim is fresh in his mouth. He can still taste the metallic tang on his tongue; can still feel the way the blood rushed warm down his throat as he pierced her flesh, I CAN SMELL THE BLOOD AND TASTE IT IN MY MOUTH JUST FROM THAT LINE, CATHIE) so for him to just BELIEVE it was Elena because that's how WEAK and DESPERATE he is. Just. It's so disgustingly fantastic and believable. It broke my heart ( ... )

i read this before I went out and I left it open so I could reply with a superlatives filled comment when i got home. only now i'm really, reeaaallllly drunk. and so i think it would be best if i just popped back tomorrow to tell you how great you are. as opposed to trying to do it now. yes?

BUT BETTER LATE THAN NEVER, RIGHT?!

Katherine is my favourite thing about television right now (despite the fact that she has been sorely lacking from it for FAR TOO LONG). I think you capture her perfectly here. She's such a scary proposition to write (I've found) because, gah, girl is COMPLEX! And far too awesome for her own good.

But, bravo you. Because this is spot on. Her voice (especially her Elena!voice) is chillingly fabulous!

Wow, thank you. Katherine is about ten different kinds of amazing and I was really worried about being able to do her any justice. So thank you so much for saying that I actually kind of got her here. That makes my heart swell.
