In the last three weeks, George has had to deal with several new changes in Arthur's household. First, the installation of the Court Sorcerer and King Arthur's express and very smarmily-made request that George train the man who was to look after him (a task that George took on with zeal, even if he was vaguely aware of the possibility that King Arthur had asked him out of desire to needle Merlin). Second, considering the heat of the summer's zenith, the early dismissal from training of the knights every day, whom often as not, Arthur joined these mornings, and which left George far less time to clean Arthur's chambers before he had to remove His Majesty's armour and polish it all to a high gleam. And thirdly, an even further delay in finishing his chores in Arthur's room, since His Majesty had decided to institute nap time whenever he joined practice, thereby throwing the remainder of George's carefully arranged schedule into utter disarray
