I do so love it when Dorian's reluctant native sense of fair play comes out.

Wonderful story! I love the touch of the Jones boys in it, and it had that lovely history/mythology feel of the Indiana Jones stories. Klaus' reaction to Dorian's ownership of the spear was marvelous and funny at bits, especially at the part where he handed back the spear - his thoughts about being in love "and that lovey-dovey stuff" were so Klaus. I'm glad that Dorian didn't take advantage of the situation (much!) although I'm curious as to the planting of the slivers. I take it that the last splinter is going into his own body, and wonder what effect that would have.

I'm very happy that you enjoyed the story! And thank you very much for commenting, it makes me happy!

The slivers - yes, the second sliver is for Dorian, to make them both victorious/invincible (or at least difficult to kill). But put them on even fields, powerwise. Or possibly we'll just have Armageddon ... :) But my personal theory is that once Klaus has decided that he is in love with Dorian, then he'll act accordingly. So as long as Dorian doesn't tell him too much it should all work out just fine. :)

I had sort of interpreted the slivers as some kind of vaccine. If you've got a part of the spear in you, then the rest of the spear can't hold its power on you. That's what I had thought Dorian was planning, more or less.

Could be something like that too. Good theory. I mean, a lot of what Dorian "knows" about the spear is from myths and legends. I think he most of all hopes for it to have some (positive) effect, but he can't really know for *sure* really what will happen.

How apropos that I just watched that movie. Literally right before I noticed this story. Kinda weird, to be honest.

But this was wonderful! I do love Klaus when he is confused like that and you write it so well! Dorian was written so nicely, so decadent gentleman-ish in this (even if always a little mischievous ;)
Loved the skips between narration pov. Sometimes I find them rather messy and/or confusing, but you made it make complete sense

Thank you so much for sharing! as always, it's a pleasure reading your works <3

Hi there! Heh - funny coincidence, that. :) I saw the movie very shortly after it came out, with some slasher friends, and I am always looking for neat things to cross Eroica over with, so ... :) I think in my very first thought, Mutt's son would be a member of the Eroica crew, going under the nick name of Poodle. And for a long while it was also a crossover to Casca, with Casca working as one of Klaus's men. Hmm ... Might still use that last bit at some point, come to think of it. :)

Anyway, I'm very glad that you liked it and thank you for commenting, it is really appreciated! And thank you for telling me more of what parts you like too, that is always neat to read. :)

I'm glad the POV switches works for you. I do know I use them a lot and I'm always a bit worried that I'm overdoing it. :)

What a wonderful story :-) I loved the Indiana Jones'ness with bad guys neo-nazis and a supernatural artefact of a religious nature. What a terrible temptation to have so much power and be able to have what you have always wanted ( ... )

Your comments always wow:s me and makes me very, very happy to read. And reread. And read again. Well, I enjoy everyones comments and always appreciate anything anyone say, but your comments are so ... long! And detailed! And you like so much. It makes me happy. :)

Paranoia - exactly - Klaus has reasons for his being careful and he needs those sharp objects, damnit!

With an organisation such as the rogue's gallery, sole stealing rights from limited areas just felt so ... natural. And it would annoy Klaus so much. :)

Klaus's resting pulse - yup, very good shape! :) Heh, I actually researched that one, so I'm very glad someone noticed. :)

Dorian - yes, most people would be totally insufferable like that. But Dorian is ... he's just Dorian. :) He's supposed to be like that. :)

So, thank you for all you say! I'm very happy that you like the story!
