Ups and downs at the gym

Yesterday the parking gods were on my side. At this time of year the gym is packed (unsurprising) and there seemed to be zero spots in the lot. I circled a few times and was ready to give up and head home when someone pulled out right in front of me, so I snagged the spot. My butt hurts tonight because of a free session with a trainer at my gym yesterday. I'm not sure which of the things I did made my butt hurt, but yow.

Good for you as well!
I had one session with Brian using some gym credits I earned (our little accountability agreement came out of that). He *really* kicked my ass. That is one thing I can say about working with a trainer, he pushed my way harder than I push myself. Which is a good thing, but man I hurt the next day or two LOL.

Your dedication is so awesome! :) Really. and the fact that you can use a trainer is great, I know lots of people who get great results that way. Me, I a more of a "lone wolf" excersizer (it's true! an internet quiz told me! ;) and could not do the trainer thing. He would be like "consequence! 1000 meter row!" and I would punch him in the face. :)

Sometimes you just need a break. It is a delicate balance though, since you don't want to get out of the working out rhythm - but it sounds like you are doing fine! :)

Aw thanks :) I'm not really working "with" a trainer. He's not there when I work out, he just helped me set up a plan. I was worried I'd fall off the wagon when I no longer had the structure of the class I was in. So he decided to build in some accountability for me, heh.

And did make it to the gym today, so I'm back on track. :)
