Hi ... My friends list is kind of slow lately ... so I did a search for people who are local who share interests with me. It seems we have some things in common including going to CHS. My name is Dave. I am the art director at Between the Lines newspaper. I dream of being a writer or an artist, however being a father of four children takes up most my time. Hopefully it is nice to meet you.
I know what you mean! I think everyone has defaulted to Facebook, but I still find time to rant about my boring life.
Who was your Forum Leader? I arrived at Commie in '97 and I had Cheryl Grace.
I see that you are also a Trubie. I am counting down the days to the new season. Favorite characters? I love Jessica. And Pam. I'm also a die hard fan of the books. (Well, not so much the last one and I haven't read the newest yet...people take such a long time to read a book at the library!)
I'm so glad Between the Lines is out there. It helped me a lot growing up. I was glad to just read about other people like me.
Personally, I cannot stand Facebook and my rants are too long for twitter.
My forum leader was Steve Eisenberg, but I majored in art and Tom Todd.
We just finished rewatching season 3 of True Blood. I have to admit i have not read the books yet. Favorite characters? There are too many to choose from that I could just list the whole cast. Tara and Arlene gets on my nerves sometimes. But yes, Jessica is such a hotty! I do have a thing for redheads ... especially sexy vampire redheads. I love Lafayette, very cute and great character. Hoyt is a sweety, I could just eat him up. Sookie is Sookie and Eric is very tall. Ha.
It is an interesting time to be working for or just reading BTL. We have had a lot of achievements over the last few years in the LGBT community, but we have so much more to go.
I have many pets. My wife works with several animal rescues and used to work at a pet store. I would list all our pets, but I would be affraid you would think us one of those crazy animal hoarders, but it is not that bad.
I love Lafayette. I was so happy that he became a main character, he's not in the books. I know that Nelson improvises some of the stuff on there. He's such a great actor!
Oh, Tom Todd. I never got to have a class with him, he retired really soon after I arrived. I was there for his Roast. Oh my god. Dean Judy looked like she was going to have a heart attack!
Oh, Steve and his confusing maths.
I love that Arlene was mad that Jessica was also a red head and thought she'd get less tips. Yeah, red heads are cool. I think my favorite couple is Jessica and Hoyt. But too much of them might cause me to get a cavity.
That's ok, my friend has two dogs, four cats and a husband. So it can't be all that bad. I'm happy with just my three, but I'd have more if I could. Then I go, no wait, three is plenty!
