Work sucks

I'm trying to decided how much of a bad thing is that people have replied to my emails today. Especially considering that its only Sunday morning where they are.

I can't even lecture then about work/life balance like I normally would if I got the emails on Monday morning.

Dagnammit, I'd forgotten about that!! The HR manager over there told me she'd be taking the full week off, and I have about four major things that need her sign off before I can proceed.

The guys I was picking on today are a Yorkshireman in Calgary and a Scot in Houston, we have an interesting cultural mx in out international offices...

We, the american women abroad, are having a Turkey Day party on Sunday this week. Turkey and all the trimmings. Brits are welcome if you'd like to experience this odd holiday.

I never thought about the impact on business in other countries when I'd have off for Turkey Day.

I suppose we don't really have any special holidays we take abroad with us. I'm having to get used to so many random office closures around the world now though :o)
