I've been checking the local press since Wednesday, 'cos we were hoping it would skirt under the radar. Stupid children!

I'm trying to decided how much of a bad thing is that people have replied to my emails today. Especially considering that its only Sunday morning where they are.

I can't even lecture then about work/life balance like I normally would if I got the emails on Monday morning.

How many people have some form of flexible working arrangement, or the ability to request one? I've just joined our flexible working discussion group, and I've volunteered to investigate what other companies do. So, on Friday I got my pay review. I am a very happy little bunny. This is the first payrise I've ever had based on my work, rather than everyone in the company getting 3%. The climax of my working week involved an aerobics lesson. Now this may seem out of character, but one of the engineers is a trained instructor, and runs a little class for people she knows. I started my new job yesterday. I was so worried about being late because of the traffic, I ended up being 45 minutes early!
