I'm not dead yet

They're finishing up here at last. The kitchen is nearly done and all they have left is the bathroom up here. My grandfather's roll-top desk is safely ensconced in bubble wrap and cardboard. This is a big hurdle before I go. My organization provides a 'welcome kit' of pots and pans and sheets. . . the things I'll need to live here until I go.

I'm glad the end is in sight with all the packing and arranging. And I'm glad Beck is still able to do all the stuff cats do! :)

It's very upsetting to the kitties to have all these strangers in the house packing up and carting away our things, too. In my case, at least I know what's going on.

I wonder if they remember from two years ago that all this led up to the ordeal that brought them here. They liked it here better than in Fairfax, I'm sure, as we let them into the garden all the time here and never there.

I've unpacked the sheets from the welcome kit and I know where my towel is.

Glad to hear he can make it onto your bed. Last we heard he couldn't do that unaided. Sounds like he's making progress however slowly.
