I'm not dead yet

They're finishing up here at last. The kitchen is nearly done and all they have left is the bathroom up here. My grandfather's roll-top desk is safely ensconced in bubble wrap and cardboard. This is a big hurdle before I go. My organization provides a 'welcome kit' of pots and pans and sheets. . . the things I'll need to live here until I go. My suitcases are packed so that I could be sure that what I left out of the shipment would fit in them, but I'll unpack them tonight so that they don't wrinkle horribly.

I still have a lot to do, but with this over, the rest is a lot more manageable. I hope to be posting fewer 'I'm stressed and going crazy' posts.

Beck update: No change. He's still having difficulty walking. At least he can make it to the spot in the garden they use for their toilet and he can hop up onto the bed to sleep with me, so I don't think his quality of life is suffering horribly. He eats, sleeps, and relieves himself. Isn't that what cats do? I'll post more if there's anything to post, but if there's no change, I won't post until we get him to California to be checked out by a vet there.
