I suppose it's easier to google something if you know how to spell it. I didn't spell the name of the city properly when I posted about our visit. It's 'Bukhara' or 'Bukharo' depending on if you're speaking in Russian or Uzbek. The locals and the souvenirs use the later, most maps use the former ( Read more... )

I think my kids are only now coming to understand how fortunate we are to be able to explore the world and not just as tourists, but as residents. I know there are a lot of people who can't understand wanting to live around the world, but for me it makes everywhere 'home'.

I think your kids will benefit from living abroad tremendously. It's always good to be exposed to different places and different cultures. That's cool - the concept of feeling at home everywhere. *goes off to reflect* :)
