SPN Drabble - Anorexia

Like Chuck says, "writing is hard." But I keep trying, and I've written a little drabble about Sam hallucinating that he's fat (even though he's hardly eating anything). It's about perception, cause most anorexics think that they're bigger than they really are and it freaks them out. It's one of the ways that Hallucifer is torturing poor Sammy ( Read more... )

Poor Sammy, it's scary and sad to think of him having this kind of hallucination.

Thanks, hon. <333

Omg, what a lovely comment! I'm glad that you really "felt" this... Poor Sammy has been through so much, and Lucifer knows just what buttons to push.

Thanks, sweetie! <333

Beautifully put together, bb ♥ even though it's hard to read as you make it sound so real....poor Sammy, I just HATE thinking about all the pain Lucifer put him through. Also, anorexia, not fun stuff, I used to do volunteer work and help out with anorexic teenagers, it was so fucking sad and frustrating and so hard to deal with.

Thanks so much, bb! ♥ It's hard thinking of all the pain he went through with Lucifer. For me though it's such a part of him, and it makes me sad that there's no trace off it left, not even PTSD, nothing, as if he never went to hell at all. And yeah, Anorexia isn't fun stuff. It must have been so difficult, working with Anorexic teenagers. I had a form of Anorexia when I was younger, brought on by an illness where I felt sick whenever I ate food, and I ended up losing a lot weight. In a sense, I became afraid of food, and so being very very thin made me feel "safe." I didn't think I was "fat" or anything, I knew I was rail thin. But I've known other anorexics who thought they were heavy, and it drove their obsession to lose more and more weight. It was scary watching them go through this.

That's a very horrible hallucination to have, and you made it me see it so clearly. The part where he drowned in his own fat ... *shudders*
