Poinsettias in July

Sorry I'm behind again on LJ again. I've been dealing with dehydration (dry mouth, exhaustion, etc, etc). I'm drinking plenty of water now and lots of coconut water, too. I'm feeling a little better but I'm still not back to normal yet ( Read more... )

Thanks. In the summer, I need to be more careful about drinking enough water. Thanks again, I'm slowly getting better. My throat isn't constantly dry anymore, so that's a good sign.

LOL! The previous owners were dog breeders and they always give dogs distinctive and weird dog names. But the dog had an informal name, too (Charlie) and that's what we called him.

Poinsettias can grow in gardens here but I've never been lucky with them. Mine last maybe until February and then just give up, poor things. Our climate is not an easy one for plants. Yours look great!

Dehydration is so easy to fall into. I'm trying to drink more water but forget. Then my chronic throat tickle and cough come back which reminds to drink more water. It goes around in circles like that for me.

I've never tried growing a Poinsettia outdoors The sun on my balcony is too intense for them and it gets too hot. Most of mine don't make it past February, too. I never know what to expect, some of them survive and some don't. The tiny ones seem to survive the best, as long as I don't forget to water them. I'm sorry it's been difficult to keep your Poinsettias going. Thanks! Hopefully they'll stay healthy!

Yes, it's easy to get dehydrated. I think I'm drinking enough but I'm not. Now, I'm sipping water throughout the day so I won't forget. My throat getting dry is also a reminder.

Oh no, dehydration is no joke eep. I'm glad you're being serious about remedying that. *HUGS*

Picard for life!! But, I'm ~adult~ enough to recognize that Kirk was/is the OG. ;)

Wedgewood Fling LOL ahh, weird people. Life would be so dull without you!! xD

Read my icon first, then yours, LOL!

No joke at all! Having no saliva and no energy feels awful. Thanks, I'm taking it seriously now. I love how great coconut water is for hydration. And I'm sipping water all day long. *HUGS*

Picard is awesome, I totally get it! I love him, too. But yeah, Kirk is the OG, old-school captain perfection. ;) Forever my captain!

It is a funny name, lol! Wedgwood Fling is a formal name, the one given by the dog breeders. It's apparently a thing that these dogs are given weird names that are distinctive. Each pedigree kennel club dog name has to be unique. But that's different from their informal name, what the dog is actually called. He went by the name Charlie, and that's what we called him. :

Oh yes, that coconut water stuff is magic! I was really into it for awhile because I could get it where I worked, so good!
I'm glad you're taking it seriously, and doing the things. *hugs*

Hey it's better this way! We won't fight over them. ;)

Ohh...fancy dog people. (See icon LOL)
