Hee! It was less the eternal truthiness of the Doctor/Master psychotic ex-roommate angst that threw her and more that the answer was a little bit more involved than "because it's a laser screwdriver. Because he's the bad guy."

(People always make the mistake of asking me why questions about my shows that have run for many years and often have additional movie and/or book canon. And then they get disturbed when my explanations last through more than one commerical break.)

I happen to quite like my laser screwdriver. Only I think it's broken, because it didn't age Bill the way it was supposed to. :(
