Before I became owned by a cat a cat owner, I always thought cats were really quiet creatures. Ha! Turns out I got one that's really loud. Oh, she can be quiet when it suits her, especially when she's trying to sneak out of the flat for a little exploration of the building, which she's managed to do three times so far. Harriet is generally quiet, but she has moments when she's very vocal too. If I answer her, she answers back. We have whole conversations ;)

I can talk to Lola like that, too :) I often wonder what she's saying to me then. "Shut up"?"I don't understand"?"I can't speak Hoomanese"? LOL

Apparently a study showed that cats were more talkative when owned by a woman. I think they got we talk to them and so learn to be vocal.

That's an interesting idea! Though Lola has always been very vocal, ever since I've had her, so I guess it's either her personality or her previous owner must have been a woman. ;)
