Room 231, Saturday Evening

Sam did some quick gift-wrapping before Cameron showed up, then started cleaning the engine parts on the bed with an old t-shirt.

Cameron was carrying a box with the swoopbike parts Molly had brought from Coruscant as he knocked on the doorframe. "Yo! Awake yet?"

"Yes, I'm up!" Sam opened the door, then gestured to the box. "Are those the parts?"

[cameronmitchell]

"Yep, I thought you might want to inspect them," he nodded.

[carter_i_am]

"I do," she said, then handed him a box. "Happy birthday. I'm sorry it's late."

[cameronmitchell]

"Thank you." Cameron was surprised by the heaviness and size of the box. He gave Sam a quizzical look as he placed the swoopbike parts carefully on the desk and then he quickly opened the box and pulled out the leather jacket. His mouth almost hid the ground.

"Wow... That's... Wow! You didn't have to do that," he said, very much in awe as he moved forward to hug her in thanks. "Thank you."

She hugged him back. "You're welcome. It's also a congratulations for getting closer to the Academy present. Does it fit okay?"

"Only one way to find out!" He said as he moved back and quickly pulled it on. It seemed to fit perfectly and Cameron grinned broadly at Sam. "What do you think?" he asked, holding up his hands and turning around for her.

Sam gave a wolf whistle and started applauding. "It's definitely you."

[cameronmitchell]

"Really?" he beamed, fussing a bit with the collar as he tried out if it would look best standing up or down. "You're not just saying that?"

[carter_i_am]

"Trust me, I am not just saying that," Sam said, shaking her head. "And I think it looks better down. Casual."

[cameronmitchell]

"Okay," he smiled as he flattened against and looked down at himself. "This is so cool. You people give the best gifts ever."

"You people?" Sam raised an eyebrow at him.

[cameronmitchell]

"People on Fandom?" he flailed a tiny bit. "Not in a bad way. I never had such generous friends," he smiled.

[carter_i_am]

"I get a stipend from the government," Sam shrugged, "in addition to them paying my way here, so I don't have much to spend money on."

[cameronmitchell]

"It's still generous," he pointed out. "Thank you."

[carter_i_am]

"You're welcome." Sam smiled at him, then gestured to the box. "So...gonna open it?"
