some mod notes

1. Activity CheckDue to the rather involved and complicated plot this month (big ideas, little game = oh dear) the activity check, will be modified again this month. It will be mod-verified and the requirement is simply to have participated in the plot. If you're concerned that this excludes you and would rather it didn't, please contact one of us ( Read more... )

Yes! Believe me when I say we understand that and we're sorry. Thank you for not giving up entirely, though.

As for your question: while we can say with confidence that the respawn machine has been fixed, characters are still stuck in the bodies they were in at the start of the event. The only way to get them back to normal is to have them killed at some point after the respawn is fixed. When they die that time, they'll come back in the bodies they were originally brought to the asylum in.

I agree; it was fun, but we did take a bit too long with this. Getting things back to normal will probably be for the best ^^ It'll be easier for all characters to participate again then! We'll need an update of the ''inside carriero'' page? Adding the new areas?

Backtagging will probably take some time yet though if people are still interested in that, or perhaps we should simply decide on a summary of what happened? The characters fiddle with the teleport device, and manage to get to and rescue Andrea? Will the small teleporter somehow get broken/be rendered useless afterwards? And the soldiers ship will somehow get blown up by the terrorists(Joe) in the end?

Aha, yes~! The maps shall be updated, as well as descriptions. Though first things first, your plotty mod here needs to draw the revised maps.

The thing with the teleport device is that it works with the built in teleporters the asylum is equipped with. So in the realm of "Beam me up, Scotty!" it's not so much the actual teleporter pad as it is the computer that Scotty is using to do the beaming. So, if everyone would rather have it broken, then that's fine. But I'm equally cool with it still working. Just let me know so I know if I have to account for it in future plots.

As far as the soldier's ship getting blown up, that will have been done by Maryse, as Sergey and Egil are already dead, and Joe will be useful later.

Have fun with that XD

Just wanted to get some sort of clarification on that ^^ I guess it can work for now then; we can always destroy it later if it should happen to mess up further plot ideas

Ah, right!

It's not so much the order of events that's troublesome; we haven't seen any time travel yet, after all. More the current policy does now seem to be there'll be a stricter linking of events to actual dates. So that kind of thing is why I now feel the stronger need for a timeline - if there are going to be dates ( ... )

The thing is that with the speed of the game, we don't want to have to worry too much about the details like dates and times. We trust you guys to be able to ballpark things and be fine with it. We don't want to micromanage that much. For instance, in this case, things were wrapped up by November 16th. If a character were to have said on the 15th or 17th, or even later that they were glad things were finally back to normal, that would be acceptable, because it's not a terribly strict thing. I do appreciate what you have to say on the matter, though, and we'll be sure to learn from our mistakes this time when the next time for an event comes around.

The Reserve page was actually kept as it was for a reason, but it's been fixed now, so thank you for drawing attention to it. As for the contact pages, I think we'll likely be revamping them in the future, because what we know about opinions on them is pretty well equal parts actual usage and what we're told by the players.

Finally, thank you so much for highlighting those bits in the ( ... )

First, do excuse the blonde pic of Rea (was part of another game's plot and damn phone wont let me change it)

Second, yay!!! I was hoping you guys were gonna get round to actually rescuing me soon. How exactly did you rescue me? (btw, Re's honna be a wee bit traumatised for quite a bit)

Third, so shes stillbin medics body? And to get hers back, she has to die? Does that mean after she dies, theres another 2 weeks of not playing her? I dunno how to get her to die either. Dumb comment i know but shes already mega traumatised. Suicide might push hervover the edge...

Oh, Rea's a cutie blonde!

Moving on, the rescue details weren't something we've worked out in fine print yet (and I'm hardly qualified to answer, as it's based more on the players of characters that are a little more... hands on than this little guy) but it went something along the lines of: DRAMATIC ENTRANCE -> space shootout pew pew -> some deaths -> exploding soldier ship! -> DRAMATIC EXIT. Andrea being traumatized from this ordeal is pretty much par for the course, isn't it? Poor dear.

And yes, she's still in Medic's body. Death is the only way to get her own back, although we'll definitely be shortening the recoup time for you in this case (between 1 and 6 days). As for not knowing how she can die, if you're coming up short on means and really want to get it done, just let us know and I'm certain we can find a relatively easy way for the asylum to lead to her death somehow. (I feel like a horrible person for offering that but it's the only way! /dramatics)

Argh dying :( but if that is the way, then that is that. I really dunno how to kill her though; dont think she'd slit her wrists after being tortured for days on end and having her wounds heal... Hmmm... Can the asylum finish her off please. Whatever method you fancy is fine by me!! Ill post tomorrow as its bedtime for me now; a thank you post for the people who saved her, i guess and we can go from there?

Ok, lots of dramatic-ness is cool. Re's near catatonic now, bless her, so i dunno how talkative she's gonna be! Awww I'm glad we're mocing forward though; I have missed this place

Do excuse spelling/punctuations. I officially hate touchscreen!!!

If Andrea might be up for looking around the newly available crew areas of the asylum (there's fancy medical equipment and the like, if that's motivation), a quick and clean on- or off-screen death can come in the form of falling surgical tray or wall-mounted monitor. If you'd rather she didn't go exploring at all before her death, just let me know and I'll work on something else.

We're happy to be moving forward, too! And you're excused for any typos. Those silly little touchscreen things that mess us all up are not.

Would it be alright if Dera died during the previous fight on the government ship? Shot by a soldier maybe? How long will I have to wait before playing him again if so? I'm cool with him being 'Prussia' for a while longer if not though XD

furgotten November 30 2011, 23:04:26 UTC
That's certainly allowed! And the time between end of the event and respawn would have been four days or so, which would have had Gokudera back alive and his self by a little over a week ago.

Drats, another one we can't use the 'rocks fall, everyone dies' plot on. :p

Alright!

Don't worry; I'm certain that plot will be useful some time XD
