Have a (newish) Eheim filter on turtle tank. Usually it's dead silent and super efficient (as it well should be, as it's rated for tanks at least 10x this size), except when I woke up from my 'nap' at 12am it was making horrible spluttering noises and the water wasn't moving at all...
 So off I go to clean out the entire thing.
