If Billy ventures into the library, he might spy a pretty girl in a blue sleeveless dress over a white blouse, like something out of a Jane Austen movie, except that she's currently nose-deep in a volume of Bram Stoker (from a later period, yes, but she was directed toward it by a young historian). She's rather curled up in her chair and very absorbed, but she's quite interruptible.

"No, I've not seen any of my family nor any of our friends in the village where I live," she replies. "I had thought these wood were the same ones that we had been driving through, and so the Elven lady sent her brother to seek for any sign of our coach or the highwaymen, but there was none to be found."

"Oh." Billy's shoulders drooped for a moment as he tried not to think too hard about not having his friends around to back him up. He was like the mage in a game; support, not front lines like this.

"Well, I'm glad that you had a ... peaceful greeting?"

"Mistress Aredhel put me at ease and helped me to find a most lovely room," she replies. "Have you had the pleasure of meeting her and her family? I've yet to meet most of them, but if they are anything like Aredhel, they must be wondrous folk."

Billy blinks again and shakes his head. "Uh, no. I don't think I've met them yet."

But holy cow, he'd love to. He wants to meet ALL of them.

"I pray that you have the good fortune to meet them and soon," she says, beaming.

"Thanks." Billy hopes he can meet all of these people that he's so far only read about or seen in movies.

"Should you meet Aredhel or her brother the huntsman, tell them that I sent you with a recommendation: I think they shall be happy to meet you," she replies.

"I'll totally keep that in mind! Thanks!" Really. You've just made his day.

"I shan't keep you then: you are likely still finding your way about this sprawling house and you are eager to meet the elfin folk," she says, beaming.

"Thanks." Billy smiles at her. "Thank you for the info too. I owe you."

"No, do not consider yourself to be in debt to me, except perhaps for the debt of friendship which I would gladly owe to you in return," she says, trying to sound poetic and likely sounding awkward.

"Friendship works." She sounds a lot more elegant than Billy ever does so she's got that going for her.

"Then I pray that our friendship blossoms in this strange, brave new world," she says. "But I would be a poor friend if I did not let you go to complete your quest."
