[Mingler] The Death of Agrippina: Casting Results

Mar 08, 2011 22:45

It took Cyrano a few weeks to finish up his play, to make up his mind on the casting. The results of the readings are finally posted one morning on the Mansion's billboard, in his clean, cold, intellectual yet flamboyant penmanship.

Paulinka notices the board, and when she sees her name on it, she grins. She's pretty pleased about this casting--she figures the role she was given was good, so.

Hisoka is standing nearby, and sees the woman's grin. He asks, "Did you just get the part you wanted?"

She turns towards him. "Yes, I did! I'm very pleased."

"Which is it?" he asked.

Sometime or another, Franz finds himself reading the mansion's bulletin board, scanning the posted list intently. He can faintly recall some of the Roman historical figures as being vaguely familiar-though the names are positively ancient-though not much else.

What interests him the most, however, are the names of the cast and crew-and by the nationalities their names appear to represent. Japanese, German, French... unless his eyes are deceiving him. Just how many people from Earth-or, at least, the "Earth" he thinks he knows-are here exactly? He's been around long enough, though has found little to satiate his need to find answers. He still holds it means something, though he's yet to figure out how, and that how may be a very long time in coming, if at all.

Though then again (and he nearly sighs), it could mean absolutely nothing, and not be relevant to things in the least, though Franz has a hard time believing it. It would be better if he could just focus on the play itself and not the tiny devils that lurk in the details.

If it's after sundown, Franz might notice a tall Roman lady, dressed in timeless dark robes, who is all but staring at the sign and sighing.

These events are quite serious to Pandora. Sejanus, after all, is responsible for her family's execution.

And so she is eying this production with a rather critical, possibly even wary eye.

Hope that's alright? We haven't tagged in a bit, and I thought this interaction might be interesting <3

It doesn't take long for Franz to take notice of the woman. He hears the sigh, and shifts almost imperceptibly. If anything, she is eying the cast list more intently than he had been.

He's not usually one to disturb someone obviously deep in thought, but after a few moments' hesitation, he finds himself speaking anyway.

"Unhappy with the casting?"

And your totally fine!

Pandora shakes herself out of the staring. "I couldn't care less about the casting," she replies without thinking. "The theme bothers me more."

Pause, then she turns to look at Franz. She's probably visibly not human, skin too white, movements too eerie, not to mention the vivid amber color of her eyes.

She speaks without opening her mouth much, so as to hide her fangs.

Locke Lamora is holding court - so to speak - with his feet on a table, head back, watching the room with lazily half closed eyes. He's pleased, make no mistake - though unfortunately not surprised. Locke has every confidence in his acting abilities.

He does figure he should meet these other folks, though.

And there's so much animation inside that the dragon can hear it, even from up in the attic where he's been put up by your castmate, actually, Locke. No, really. You can bring it up to Hisoka if you want, once you've recovered from the shock.

At any rate! Here is Falkor, and absolutely curious about the strange going-ons downstairs.

And this is why there is a huge white head with ruby eyes, peering curiously through through the window pane, right behind you, Locke.

Locke feels someone looking at him and arches his eyebrows. "You know," he says dryly, "If you're going to stare, the least you can do is say-"

He turns around slightly and then is on his feet, scrambling back in a moment. "Godsmotherfuckingfuck!"

Falkor makes a bwaaah sound of his own and jerks back, startled. "--- oh."

Our Nerva glances at the poster and can't stop smiling. Finally a part that involves actual speech! Although Phoenix brushes his hair with his fingers. What is wrong with my hair? He shakes his head. Never Mind

Perhaps someone can come over and bother him about it. (The role and the hair.)

Here's someone who will both bother Phoenix about the hair, and then perhaps try to help, if he allows it.

"--- whoa, what happened to your hair, precious?"

Yes, this would be Belize's way of saying hello.

"...Nothing. Why do you ask? And why are you calling me precious?" Feenie fiddles with his hair again, he doesn't get why people think his hair is strange, to him it's perfectly normal.

Then again Phoenix comes from a canon with far more crazier examples of hair. Compared to those, Phoenix's hair is quite tame. (And plausible.)

"Why shouldn't I?" Belize replies, and he's flirting outrageously - he canonically has a very strange relationship with lawyers. Particularly when they're straight. Or evil, like Roy Cohn. "Now, that's so... avant-garde," he note. "Very Yves Saint-Laurent, though I prefer Channel. More classy, you know? Less flashy. But to each his own, ma cherie."

Bridget wasn't really expecting a part, so it's with a happy sound that he reads the cast list. Oh, he can't wait to tell 11-12!

Anybody is welcome to come up and be hugged by a cheerful Bridget if they'd like.

"Hello," says Hisoka, noticing the beautiful young man with the long blonde hair. "Did you get a part?"

Bridget turns and beams at Hisoka. One might think he'd just won some coveted prize or lottery. "I did! I'm so excited! I get Livilla! What about you?"

"I'm excited for you, then. What a wonderful role! Do you have ideas yet about how you'll play her? Oh, I'm Terentius. And I'm pleased about that, too."
