[Open post] Lurking in the shadows

Tristan has been quietly observing the comings and goings at the Mansion - he's been hopeful, he's been disappointed. His lady hasn't arrived - will she ever, he wonders? - but neither have foes, and neither have those who knew him in Cornwall.

He's gone hunting, has killed off a rather large stag and is now quietly carving meat. He'll be smoking ( Read more... )

Someone who doesn't mind blood, and is back from his own hunting - but grouse, because he didn't feel like lugging anything large back. And glances at Tristan and makes like to move on by, because there is nothing he has to say to goddamn knights.

He doesn't even clank, relatively unarmed. Except the sword. He always has that.

When Tristan sees Sandor, he nods in polite greeting, and keeps to his work. He has no need for conversation - and is quite content with being undisturbed.

All the same, he's acutely aware of the other man's presence in the room. Sandor is hard to ignore.

And whether he's being watched or not, not being alone makes Sandor about four times more self-conscious than normal.

Oh, good, blood. Paulinka hates blood. So she'll be hurrying back from her walk, passing him by, cringing at the sight. She might mutter something under her breath though, something that sounds remarkably like "Ew."
