Have a pink-haired, extremely cute fellow woman knight.

Utena is outside in the yard, praciting her sword skills. She's getting better at her form everyday, thanks to Cryano and Niko. Her small body works incrediably well with mixed training and is getting even quicker as a result.

She stops for moment, and her sweat pours. For a fourteen year old, she works hard. She also notices Brienne.

"Hey."

Brienne is frankly having a hard time not staring - not because of the sword fighting, though Utena is the first girl she meets with proclivities like hers - but because of the pink hair.

"-- Good day," she ventures. Despite her size, armor and fighting ability, Brienne probably looks very unsure of herself.

At times Utena does get this way. Sometimes she thinks that she's too naive, and too unskilled.

She looks at her at with some curiosity. "I haven't see you before. Whats your name?"

Utena is friendly, as always.

Brienne eyes the girl - looking for the catch, perhaps.

"Brienne," she says, and doesn't offer her house name. It's not a name to give all the same - not when she's wanted and unsure of her own location.

Effy will be outside on the porch in a chair, flipping through a copy of Antigone. She's almost finished reading, though, and probably wouldn't mind talking to someone (surprisingly enough).

Perhaps Effy might notice, then, walking up the porch's steps, what looks like a knight in armor.

A rather young, but huge, and ugly knight in dull armor.

Oh, she notices, and turns to look at the giant...person heading her way. She doesn't speak for a moment, but opens her mouth as if to say something.

After a moment, however, she'll welcome...him?

"Hi."

She has her poker face on, most assuredly. No use showing emotion if this person turns out to be dangerous--or boring, for that matter.

Up close, it's probably visible, mostly in her face, that this is a girl Effy is talking to.

"-- Hello," she replies, a bit timidly.

With her back to Brienne as she bends over a table, a quill skating across some paper, with only red hair showing - vibrantly red hair, long and rich - it would be easy to mistake this tall and regal woman for another redhead Brienne knows somewhat better.

Nerdanel is journaling, of a sort. She's decided that she wants to keep track of things, somehow, and the action itself is - soothing to her, in a slightly inexplicable way.

Brienne is going to stare at the woman's back for a bit, her heart beating in her chest so powerfully that she'll fear she might give up the spirit for a time.

After a moment, though, stoutly, "-- Lady Catelyn?"

Nerdanel glances sideways, sees no one else in the room, and lifts her head. "If you are speaking to me," she says in her rich, cultured voice, "I am not who you are looking for, but I would be glad to be of assistance if I may anyway."

She closes the book quietly and turns, standing - probably as tall as Brienne, though quite a bit more slender.

dkfljdjfl! "I -- my apologies, lady," Brienne replies, and is kind of simply mesmerized by the sheer height of the woman. "I meant no disrespect."

If Brienne happens to wander to the kitchen at any time, she might find a delicate young woman there. Isolde sits by a window, cradling a mug of hot herbal tea between her palms. Her thoughts are flying far away but she'll gladly be disturbed.

It's fairly easy for someone as, hm, visible as Brienne to disturb thoughtful people. When she wanders into the kitchen, she pauses awkwardly and shifts on her feet.

She's considering just trying to leave so as not to disturb this lady. Goods be good, why are people so beautiful in this place?

Well, that being said, Isolde isn't really disturbed, but startled. She flinches visibly and turns around quickly in a shuffle of fabric. "Oh, pardon me," she says quickly, putting her mug down on the windowsill. "I haven't noticed that there was someone else in here - do you need the window? Am I blocking your view?"

She wonders how to address the newcomer, though. Isolde is certain that it's a woman, though her posture, and her clothes, and --. Argh.

Brienne doesn't react to the flinching, even if it stings (it always will). "I was only looking for something to drink," she replies quietly, awkwardly. "Please do not disturb yourself, my lady."

Don't worry, Isolde, even Robb isn't sure what to call her. Ser or Lady, what does it matter?

It's a red-head convention.

For once, Duck isn't in the ballroom. She's practiced and practiced and wants something else to do for a change. The idea of reading a book that wasn't one of Herr Drosselmeyer's occurs to her, so she's in the library. Standing on a chair and reading titles out loud to herself.

"Hmm... The Little Prince. I like the sound of that one." Her back is to the rest of the room.

Read head, dreaming of princes, and the age is appropriate. Brienne stops in her tracks and she thinks her heart might stop.

--- "Lady Sansa?" Of course, she's never actually met the girl, so she is really taking a chance.

"Huh?" Duck turns around, wobbling on the chair, her big blue eyes wide. "No... I'm Duck."

"Oh." A pause. "I'm very sorry -- of course."

Awkward Brienne is awkward.

Mind if I assume that she heard 'Ahiru'?
