If Franz ever takes to exploring the Mansion, he'll probably come across a young man with an open (sometimes smug, but not now) face. Zhane is actually in the kitchen, making a snack.

It looks like he's cooking for an army, but it's actually for himself. He's actually famished - but he'll probably be friendly enough to share the quintuple decker he's making.

Franz nearly balks when he enters the kitchen, staring at the so-called 'snack' Zhane is making for himself. "You're not seriously going to eat all of that, are you?"

Zhane gives the stranger a smug grin. "Why not? I'm still growing, apparently."

Totally being playful about it, and yes, Zhane does look quite pleased with himself.

He replies back in equal humor and tone, still staring at the sandwich in utter disbelief. "You have a better metabolism than I do, then. Unless," he adds with a small laugh, "you mean to grow in width."

Here's a pair of young guys, more or less Franz' age, at least mentally. Elured and Elurin are actually poking around the safer areas of the forest, looking for a lost friend.

They're quite easy to approach, though.

Franz normally prides himself in his sense of direction. He's traveled more places than he cares to count, and certainly been in odder places than a forest certainly, but somehow, someway, Franz has gotten himself completely lost ( ... )

Oh, even up close, the boys are perfectly identical - though their personalities being quite dissimilar, once one gets to know them, they can be told apart. Usually. When they don't use their identical appearances to confuse people (they don't do it that often.)

"To the Mansion?" one of them replies, "Well, eventually, yes," the other says, "but not right away."

A moment passes during which they seem to consult one another in silence, somehow.

"You haven't seen a young, somewhat wild girl, probably up in the trees, have you?"

The other twin sighs, and seems to decide manners are going down the drain for now. Even if they matter a lot to him.

Franz eyes flit upwards, into the tangle of leaves and intertwining branches. A wild girl, they said? He clears his throat, shaking his head in turn. "Er, no. I haven't."

Though Franz hadn't exactly been paying attention to what had been going on above him-he had been too busy watching where his feet were stepping to bother looking up.

He frowns, knowing he very well could simply ask for directions back to the mansion and be off, but there's a certain and very stubborn part of him that would rather wander around than admit that he hasn't the faintest idea of where he is. It makes him feel distinctly childish.

"But I'd be happy to help you both look for her."

Sometime later in the afternoon or evening, a young, blond wizard is looking bored. He's sitting on the porch, wand in hand and making circular movements in the air with it as if it were a sparkler. It's not sparking, however, it's trailing little puffs of black smoke.

Franz isn't sure what to make of the young man when he comes across him. He stops, pointedly staring at the wand and the smoke it's giving off. He can only suppose that it's some sort of plaything. Franz, however, has long since outgrown such things, and chooses to walk past the teen, shooting him a long, perplexed look as he walks by. He can't help it really.

Gellert catches the man's gaze then leaps to his feet, grinning. "Hello there. I haven't seen you around before," he notes, his eyes twinkling with merriment.

"Er, no," he says, taken aback by the stranger's sudden enthusiasm, "you wouldn't have; I just got here. ...You are?"

Something Franz is sure he'll get tired of saying within the coming days.

Since Tony needs to get out more, here's another wizard that Franz might come across, sitting on a porch, nursing a beer and mumbling in an annoyed way at his laptop.

To Franz, the laptop Tony is using looks absolutely archaic, even if it were the top of the line product where the man comes from, and Franz can't help but stare at it, studying it with a sort of quiet amusement a 20th century teen might shoot an old, rusted typewriter.

He stifles a chuckle, keeping his voice level. "Having problems?"

Tony glances up and offers a half smile, slightly distracted. "Nope. Just a ... difference of opinion." Since his laptop is his slightly aware magic 'book', they're often having arguments.

Franz arches an eyebrow. "An AI program?" On something that old?

Iggy's still feeling a bit out of sorts, but he's not hiding out in his room anymore and can be found by the lake most of the day, either sitting quietly and feeding the birds or running through his katas depending on the level of energy he has.

Either way, there's a very tall teenager with very, very large wings, probably surrounded by various birds and feeling almost friendly enough to be sociable.

When Franz goes out to explore the outdoors, he eventually wanders over the lake, stopping in his tracks when he spots a boy who seems to be around his age. Though he can't help but be taken aback at not only Iggy's wings, but his massive height-not something he'd expect from someone who looks to be around his age, perhaps a year or two younger. Though he might very well be wrong. It wouldn't surprise him at all.

Though Franz doesn't say anything to initiate a conversation, he does decide to walk closer to the lake, if only to get a closer look at satisfy his curiosity. If Iggy's hearing makes up for his lack in vision, he might very well hear Franz approach.

Iggy's only fourteen and still growing, something that annoys him to no end really. He does hear someone approach and will tilt his head slightly, pausing in his task as the birds all grow silent at the stranger.

"Hi?"

Franz startles, somewhat, a brief, but erratic change in the beat of his footsteps. Otherwise, it's almost unnoticeable. He clears his throat. "Sorry," he says, feeling rather awkward as he approaches. "I didn't startle you, did I?"
