The game is over. Nobody won, any more than anyone in the Shinigami realm really won those interminable rounds of gambling. As soon as he realizes the game was coming to an end, that Light's fascinating plan had fallen apart, Ryuk leaves the warehouse, leaving the humans to squabble among themselves and phasing through the iron roof before vaulting

Pasha doesn't explore much. He's spent a lot of time reading, but right now he's enjoying a quiet moment with his eyes half-closed. But just catching a glimpse of the shinigami out of the corner of his eye has him on his feet and staring, and reaching for a gun that isn't there.

"What are you?"

Another reading dude... what's this with people reading in this place? Is it one of those... whatchamacallem's... Oh yeah, a school? And then the guy reaches like he's carrying a gun like one of the police, or that guy on the bus that Light punked into seeing him, not that a gun would do anything to him.

"Me? Heh-heh, I'm a shinigami," he says. "Don't bother trying to shoot me, even if you were... how do they say it on TV? Oh yeah, even if you were packin' heat."

"What is a shinigami?" Pasha is Russian, so the term is not at all familiar to him. "I don't have my gun here." And he misses it. He doesn't believe Ryuk's claims despite his appearance.

"Well, some people in Japan call us death gods, not that anyone worships us, and not that we really care about that, either," he says. "Most people don't even believe we exist any more." He eyes Pasha, curious. "You must be dead, if you can see me."

Gabrielle is perhaps sitting with a book from the library, Aiden playing around near her feet with his little stuffed cat. Gabrielle is distracted, but if Ryuk approaches the little boy will certainly notice...while he's young yet he certainly has plenty of inherent magical ability.

Little kids can vary between boring and interesting, depending on how old they are, and this one at least is in the interesting range. Thus Ryuk comes closer, studying the toy, which looked almost alive to him, till he realized it wasn't, then studying the little guy.

It might come as a surprise to Ryuk when Aiden looks up and stares straight at him. He doesn't react for a moment, then he just raises the cat to make it 'look' at Ryuk. "Rawr!"

Gabrielle doesn't notice anything yet, absorbed in her book and used to Aiden roaring at pretty much anything with the cat.

"Ooh, is he supposed to do that?" Ryuk says, a little surprised and curious. "Whoa... hey... you can see me, kid?" he asks, even more surprised now.

This one's dead as dead. By which we mean, dead. And he knows it. And he's been dead for two years.

He's going to be poking at a guitar, actually, timidly. He hasn't touched that in a very, very, very long time. But hey, he's bored, and it was lying around.

He's noshing on another apple he's snitched from the kitchen, when he spies the kid with the guitar. Looks almost like one of those, thingummys, oh yeah, a rock star.

Horking the core of the apple, he comes closer to watch, and listen.

He hasn't noticed Ryuk, at first. And then he does. And just. Completely. Utterly jumps, a meter high.

"What the!!!" And the guitar is dropped to the floor.

It might also be interesting for Ryuk's typist to know that Johnny's date of death is circa 2980, more or less.

"That part of the act, or did you just see me, kid?" the thing asks, inquisitively.

Undead person available for poking! She's in the library, working on a translation yet again, of the Res Publica - and into Quenya.

Pandora might feel the presence of something powerful entering the Mansion - if Ryuk's typist agrees. Whether she does or not, though, for now, she's still writing sedately in her notebook.

He's pretty hard for someone who's both undead and posessing magical abilities to miss: it would be like missing... well, a six to seven foot guy who looks like a cross between a scarecrow and The Crow, who just phased into the room through a bookcase as he continues to explore his new surroundings.

"Man, people sure like to read in this crazy place," he mutters. He was about to start eying the tables, looking for some manga magazines or something with pictures at the very least, when he notices something different about this lady. This is not your usual dead person and he hovers in closer to get a better read on her.

She does look at him, shivers a little, even, because, well... as has been said. He's like a red nose in a clown's face.

Pandora's gaze is discreet, but curious. He doesn't seem aggressive, which she appreciates, but all the same...

He approaches her, hovering with his feet dangling just off the floor. "Whoa... what are you?" he asks, looking her up and down curiously. Manners and etiquette are clearly not this thing's strong point, whatever it is.

11-12 died before arriving here the first time - and since he'd been away had died another two times... Once murder, the other his second suicide. Plus the fact he was only something akin to an imaginary person prior to that, Ryuk may pick up on any or all of those peculiarities.

Right now he is reading in the main room, thinking he was alone. He sighed to himself and turned a page.

Man, not another reading person: he can't imagine how anyone can stay still with one of those... oh yeah, books, especially ones without any pictures. But if you can't beat 'em, join 'em, so he hovers closer to look over the kid's shoulder.

11-12 happens to glance back and yelps in surprise, startling, his eyes wide.

"Wh-what... who are you?" He looks shaken up by Ryuk's appearance.

"Well, 'what are you', works too," the thing says. "I'm a shinigami. My name's Ryuk."
