The mountain thrusts up before them like a knife: its peak is silver with ice and sunlight, but the lower slopes are the dull red of dried bloodstains. The path runs before them, narrow and twisting and treacherous, the climb up the steep mountainside sends the horses struggling and sliding toward the darkness beyond the cliff. There will be a pair of boys by her - one of them murmuring, "she's beautiful," the other saying, "she looks like the Lady --"

"We shouldn't wake her."

"Yes we should, she needs to be in a safe place..."

And so on and so forth. They might even wake her with their worried chatter, perhaps.

Elured beams a little, though he is of a generally serious demeanor, and so it only shows in his eyes. "I think my brother would like that," he replies, "and so would I. We haven't been with many of the Eldar, here, and sometimes only sporadically." A beat. "The sons of Feanor are here."

^__^ The twins like this, er, niece-in-law-mother-figure-person-thing. XD Complicated family ties, FTW!

It is endearing - he is, and she assumes his brother will also be. But with the revelations, assuming that this is taking place before meeting Cleeg, her reaction will be cautiously reserved. "I have no quarrel with them personally, and am indebted, of a sort, to the two eldest, for the fostering of my husband - although I would lie to say that I bear them no resentment for their deeds," she admits.

"They killed my father," Elured says seriously. "Celegorm offered repentance and penance, but Curufin is evil as ever. Stay clear of him, my lady, he is ill-willed. But Ambarussa, if you meet them, have been nothing but kind to us."

"It is good to know the alliances here," she says seriously, with a short nod. "And others, are there others here?"

"Daeron, the bard of Doriath, is here, but we've not seen him in long time. King Fingon - he has been kind to me in my time of need, and Lady Aredhel, though since she gave birth, we've not seen her at all. And also Findarato Felagund, and the Lady Galadriel. Both are wise and trustworthy."

"The Lady Galadriel I know to trust," Celebrían returns, with a look somewhere between relief and sadness, and a soft shudder at all those legendary, long-dead names, though what shows in her eyes is not half of what she feels. "She is my mother."

... a beat. And then he looks at her again. "I am sorry that I did not see the resemblance, my lady. I have not seen your lady mother in some time."

Perhaps, in the distance, though, Elurin is showing up, sidling with a rather familiar figure with dark hair...

If you want to tell Meg to tag in, and the twins can just fade in the background, or whatever, is fine. Or we can three-way very shortly and they'll make a quick and embarrassed exit to leave them to their reunion... Up to you guys, just let me know. ^^

"That is well. I love my mother, and it is true we resemble each other, but I am my own person. Pray do not apologize."

And if he is, Celebrían's attention may be momentarily distracted from her young companion, but she does not rush toward her husband, rather standing very still, with pounding heart.

We're just trying to figure out what Elrond's typist would prefer. :)

The dark haired figure pauses for just a moment as Elrond gets close enough to get a good look at her, then picks up speed slightly. And, if Celebrian is willing he probably won't stop until he's taken her in his arms to hold her close. "Celebrian," he says softly. "I've missed you."

"My lord," she says in wonder, and with a grateful look at Elured and Elurin, for accomplishing to reunite them. "My love, it is good to see your face again." She will lean against him heavily then, suddenly feeling some strength going out of her. "It has been a trying day, Hithaeglîr is aswarm with Orcs."

The twins witness this reunion a bit embarassedly, and unless they are retained, they will discreetly slink away, leaving the couple to their reunion.

Typist would love for them to interact with relatives again, though. ^^

He gives the twins a distracted by greatful nod as he shifts to support his wife. "There are none here," he says. "There are other dangers, but I will keep you safe." Somehow.

"You always do, my love. I was far outside Imladris when the attack came," she seeks to reassure, ever so gently. "And you have the Ring, I see."

"And I always will." ...He's just going to hope that she never ever finds out about what happened between him and Caranthir, and just nods. "I have it," he confirms, he never takes it off though he doesn't know what use it will be here, considering the enemy's presence. And the thought of his wife so near the enemy (or, for that matter, chased by orcs), chills him.

She may recognize, if his typist is willing, that look, when is worried, or thinks of unpleasant matters, and she threads a hand through his hair, gently tugging him closer until their lips meet.

"Shhh," she will whisper then, against his mouth, seeking to convey - and to receive - reassurances. "We will be well here."
