Stiles has no idea that Galadriel has sustained a new loss. He's seeking her out in her greenhouse simply because he wishes to see her again. There last meeting surprised him, in the best of ways, and he feels drawn to her kindness and her esteemed regard. He doesn't have a crush exactly, but he does have a desire to please, to feel he deserves her approval.

He hesitates at the greenhouse entrance, wondering if he should knock or just enter.

Stiles comes as she is nursing new beds of Athellas. Sensing a presence, she will pause, though, and will come to see who has come.

She smiles in greeting, but the grey of her eyes is probably more melancholy than last time they come.

"Stiles Stilinski," she says softly. "Are you well?"

Because, as usual, she expects people to come to her for something. Ha.

Stiles looks surprised at the question, glancing down at himself as if to see if there's something amiss. "I think so?" he answers slowly, confused. "If this is a bad time, I can come back. I just wanted to say hello --," the last is spoken in a rush.

He's so endearing in his eagerness to do well, that Galadriel doesn't see him as an intrusion, and so she quietly shakes her head.

"No, it's well, come," she says, and turns to usher him in. She'll lead him to a stone table, where benches are carved with exquisite skill, and a gesture will invite him to sit.

"I will make tea, if you wish."

She needs it for herself.

Fang likes to fly. That's rather an understatement. And here at the Mansion, for the first time in his memory, he can fly with freedom. There's no fear of being seen; he's not even the oddest thing to see in this place. It's evening, now that he's watched the sun set over the lake, hovering in small circles as it disappears, replaced with a half-moon. It's only when the water turn to inky blackness in the darkness that he soars back to the ground, landing on the sandy shore. Still, his eyes are skyward.

Elves do not relish darkness - it is too reminiscent of darker days, in which night was orcs' and wolve's ally. Even now, Draugluin and his pack could be prowling the grounds.

Galadriel, however, takes no heed of it - she is in fact out, looking for the wolves.

She feels the need to cut out some wolf, as she once did with Lucivar. And so in the moonlight, perhaps the light of the Elessar, as well as the glint of a sword might draw attention to the Lady of Lorien.

The moon reflects like a wink on that sword, catching Fang's eye and turning him toward her figure. He's surprised he hadn't sensed her before. "Uh - hi. I didn't see you." An obvious statement testifying to his surprise.

The response is slow, and that is because for a split second, Galadriel examined the young man - but she's determined he's safe, and the sword is lowered.

"The night is dark and Elbereth's stars are hidden," she replies, because that explains everything.

Neville is a happy man, a man in love and it looks good on him. He's down by the lake, collecting some algae from the lake before it freezes over, and when he spots Galadriel, he raises his hand to wave, a smile coming to his face at the sight of her. But that smile falters when he senses her mood, or perhaps he sees it on her face. He doesn't like to see his friends sad and solemn.

She doesn't want to cause alarm, though, so Galadriel's demeanor is composed, if serious. She'll cross the distance to take her friend's hands in greeting.

"Neville," she says softly. "You are a sight for eyes sort with grief and longing."

Neville squeezes her hands lightly, a wealth of affection in gesture. "Grieving?" he replies. "What's happened?"

"My brother has left this world for another," she says quietly. "I will miss him sorely, even though I have hopes that he finds the Grey Shores again."

Lin seems to have developed a runny nose in the colder temperatures, so instead of their daily walk outdoors, Toph has come to the Mansion. She's sitting in the common room, bouncing her daughter on her lap. The baby is grumpier than normal, and Toph isn't sure if it's a cold or teething. She's simply trying to keep her entertained and calm. She's not the most patient person, but for Lin, her patience is infinite.

Galadriel is on her way back to the treehouse, satchel slopped over her shoulder. She's got a new set of towels for Michelle, some fun snacks, herbs for better sleeps and salves for her swollen ankles.

The child, though, draws her attention, and she pauses.

"Is all well?" she asks the mother, voice gentle, calm.

Toph might have noticed that she pads in a way similar to her cousin with regards to the level of sound produced, which is inferior to a human's, but slower than other elves, and more composed. Her voice is just as quiet as other elves, but holds a measure of regality.
