Icarus has had a surprisingly good couple of weeks settling in here. He's met all kinds of interesting and friendly people (and ... not-people? He's a bit on the fence about that though), and he's even learning his way around. It's taking him a while, since this place is a lot bigger than any other place he's known, but he's getting there

Warren's walking past, perhaps on his way outside for a bit of flying himself, and he happens to glance at the open door and see who's inside. He stops and knocks lightly on the doorframe before calling in. "...Iggy? Are you all right?" He hasn't seen the kid since he arrived and the lose wing and bent feathers concern him.

Oh great.

"Yeah." His voice is muffled. "Got into a fight with the woods. It was a tie."

He winces a little. "Ouch. What were you fighting? Anything I should look out for?"

He sighs. Trust one of the only other people here that could fly to show up. Of course. He shifts a bit so his face isn't pressed so hard into the pillow and sighs.

"Yeah. A big, mean, apparently doesn't like company, tree."

Well, there's a certain friendly death god who's used to being yelled at and having things thrown at him by his partner, who just happens to be passing by Iggy's door on his way up to his own room, when he spots that door open slightly. He knocks and pushes it open further. "Hey there, Iggy, how's it going?" he says, sticking his head in. Then he spies the bird-boy's dishevalled condition. "Huh? Whoa, are you okay there, fella?"

And the guy that he met in the kitchen too? It's a party! He sighs, the sound muffled by the pillow. "Just fine," he says. "It's the latest fashion."

Yeah, he gets a bit more snarky when he's upset.

He's used to snarkiness, since he gets it from his partner all the time. "Well, the twigs in your hair kind of look like that hippie look that was popular a few decades back, but that bruise doesn't look too good," he says, coming into the room and perching on the end of the bed. "You want me to get some ice for it? It looks painful."

"It's fine." It's not and it hurts like hell. "Once I can move a bit better, I'll cover it up."

Phedre had just finished making (attempting) a cake, and she thought it might be fun to get Iggy's input on it. She wanders over to his room, then, and knocks on the door gently.

"--- Iggy?"

This doesn't look like a good day.

It's mom! Iggy groans softly and moves a bit so he's at least facing the door.

"Um, yeah. It's open."

She wanders in, then, looking immediately worried.

"--- Iggy --- what happened? Are you hurt?" She comes closer, trying to assess the damage.

He bites back the snarky 'no, of course not' that almost spills out and just sighs. "It's not that bad," he offers a small grin. "Mostly my ego that hurts."

And here comes a newly made friend, passing by and possibly unsure that this is the place. She'll knock at the door hesitantly, but she won't poke her head it.

"-- Bonjour?"

I may send Zhane as well, when his thread with Iggy is over. ^^

He knows that voice. At least it's a friendly one? Does he really look as bad as he feels? Or can he pull off the 'it only looks bad' move here?

"Um, it's open." Because moving was not on the agenda right now.

Woo! I'm a bit slow right now (yay for a storm of our own!), but I'm getting to tags as I can. ^^

Genevieve comes in and the frown in her voice is audible.

"--- what -- you're hurt." She comes closer, not touching yet. "--- can I do anything?"

No worries - I get bad service too when there's a storm for some reason.

^^ I'm afk tonight again and tomorrow morning (this weekend is social, bllllllaaaaargh), but we shall prevail.

"It's fine. Looks a lot worse than it is." IT's worth a shot. "Nothing's broken or anything."

Well, if Iggy wants a friend to hang out with after the ladies have taken care of him, Zhane might wander in the corridor, perhaps.

His footsteps are fairly distinctive - but he won't dare poke his head in without good reason.

He's had some vague medical care from a bunch of people by now, and feeling less like a total moron (and a tree), so Iggy's sitting up in bed and running his fingers over the dreamcatcher he'd been given when he hears those footsteps.

"Zhane?" He's almost certain that's who it is, but who knows? He doesn't know everyone here yet after all.

He's still without a shirt, but that's mostly because he can't quite raise his arm enough to get one over his head.

Zhane pauses by the open door, hesitates. "--- Iggy?"

Back at the hotel, things didn't always go well for him (he was a bit like an overly enthusiastic puppy, back then) - so he actually is now very hesitant to intrude on other people's space.

"Yeah. I thought that was you." Iggy's actually kind of glad to hear a voice that doesn't sound worried or sympathetic for a change, so his own tone is rather welcoming.
