[open post]: Honest, it just jumped out in front of me!

Icarus has had a surprisingly good couple of weeks settling in here. He's met all kinds of interesting and friendly people (and ... not-people? He's a bit on the fence about that though), and he's even learning his way around. It's taking him a while, since this place is a lot bigger than any other place he's known, but he's getting there ( Read more... )

Well, if Iggy wants a friend to hang out with after the ladies have taken care of him, Zhane might wander in the corridor, perhaps.

His footsteps are fairly distinctive - but he won't dare poke his head in without good reason.

He's had some vague medical care from a bunch of people by now, and feeling less like a total moron (and a tree), so Iggy's sitting up in bed and running his fingers over the dreamcatcher he'd been given when he hears those footsteps.

"Zhane?" He's almost certain that's who it is, but who knows? He doesn't know everyone here yet after all.

He's still without a shirt, but that's mostly because he can't quite raise his arm enough to get one over his head.

Zhane pauses by the open door, hesitates. "--- Iggy?"

Back at the hotel, things didn't always go well for him (he was a bit like an overly enthusiastic puppy, back then) - so he actually is now very hesitant to intrude on other people's space.

"Yeah. I thought that was you." Iggy's actually kind of glad to hear a voice that doesn't sound worried or sympathetic for a change, so his own tone is rather welcoming.

Okay, that's enough encouragement for him to poke his head in. "Hey. Guess I found your digs, huh?"

He's noticing the shirtlessness and the bruise, but not saying anything, like the Real BoyTM that he is. Er.

"Yeah." He tilts his head slightly, trying to not tug on the abused muscles or anything. "A really cool lady helped me get it. There's a balcony and everything."

"It's nice," he replies as he wanders in, hands in his pockets. "A lady, huh?"

"Yeah. Her name's Phedre. She's been really nice to me. Her room's just down the way." He frowns thoughtfully.

"Are you around here?"

"Just a floor up, actually. I was looking for the library and got lost - but no regrets, actually." There's a grin in his voice. "Sounds nice. I mean, about the lady."

"It's kind of weird, since I all the girls I know are back home," he says. "But, yeah. She helped me get settled.

"And you're not too lost. The library isn't far."

"You know where it is?" Zhane wouldn't mind being shown the right way.

"I don't think I can give you directions, but I can smell the books from here." He thinks for a moment, then stands up with a wince. "If anyone asks, I didn't get out of bed." The dreamcatcher is laid down and he picks up a button-up short-sleeved shirt to at least slip into.

"Come on."

"Wait wait wait, do you need help with that?" He's not about to let his friend strain himself on his behalf, or something.

It takes him a bit longer than normal, but he gets it settled properly so the slits in the back fall over his wings. "No, no. I've got it. Thanks." One wing is still held gingerly, but he doesn't look like he's about to fall over either.

"Ready?"

Zhane does give him a frowny-worried look, but he can't smother his friend either and kill what's left of his dignity. "Sounds good. Handy, that - the nose thing. I can't smell a thing."

"Yeah, you'd think that," he says with a grin, limping a bit to the door. "Until you realize that I live with someone named Gasman. Not so great then." He stops at the door, reorients himself, and then heads down the hall, fingers trailing the wall.

"I can also hear a lot better and if I try, I can feel the differences between people's fingerprints. It's just as much of a pain in the butt as everything else too."
