Daniel is hanging up a peanut butter bird feeder he made earlier in the day on the porch when the cursing shout and stranger storming up to the mansion startle him enough that he drops the bird feeder and nearly falls off the chair he'd been standing on.

"Um... hello?"

Probably not the best first person to meet, but I was trying to think of who to send that wouldn't either set Alice off right away or make her more angry. You get Daniel for now and if you want anybody else, let me know!

Briefly her anger is tamped down, it is a kid after all.

"Be careful, Kid. I'm... rather new here. What is this place?"

Actually it is the right person to choose. Alice <3's the kids. So she'll be patient for him. XD Maybe an Iggy too.

Daniel smiles shyly when the strange lady doesn't seem angry at him personally. "It's okay. This is the Mansion! At least, that's what everybody calls it. I just know it's not my home. I'm from Canada." He bends to pick up the bird feeder again.

"I'm Daniel! What's your name? Where are you from?"

Yay! He probably won't be able to answer many questions, but I know Iggy can. I will send him along as well. ^^

Alice makes a puzzled motion with her mouth.

"That's it, Kid?"

She shrugs. "Names Alice... I'm a guard at this place called Superjail... we were on vacation."

Icarus can be found, as per usual, in the kitchen. This time though, one large wing is wrapped up tightly after having been set properly. He's finishing up some simple beef stew, adding the last vegetables before setting it to simmer. The smells of that, or of the pie he's got in the oven might attract attention.

He is stressed and anxious and finds that cooking relaxes him. Also, he wants to make sure his mom eats so...

Alice has been wondering around the Mansion and she swears it is the most BORING place that she's ever been in. Stil... food.

She may look over at the kid with the wings.

She just blinks and sits down.

Superjail kills the weirdness meter.

Iggy tilts his head slightly at the sound of someone coming in and stirs in a bit more pepper before setting the lid down. "Hungry? It'll be done soon if you want some."

The voice is a gruff, almost manly growl, but it's clear it has a feminine touch to it.

"Sure, I guess."

She looks at Iggy a little more. He's blind and cooking.

"Hey kid, are you sure you need any help?"

Alice might come upon Justin in the Common Room. He's dressed up in full drag - long black wig, make-up and dress with heels. After roughing it in the igloo, he's happy to have the freedom to dress up again, and even happier to be warm inside the Mansion. He's just sitting at the moment, flipping through an outdated magazine, a Cosmo, he found in the library.

Alice comes in, looking at Justin's Cosmo.

"Thats a old issue honey."

Justin looks up and sighs mournfully. "They're all old here. I count myself lucky to find any at all," he confesses, and then flashes her a smile. "I'm Justin Finch-Fletchley," he promptly introduces himself.

"Names Alice, I just love your makeup..." Alice comments.

Well, Alice, have an ex-con who is actually a totally decent guy - probably more decent than them honest people who run amock in the outside world! Shadow's still grieving the loss of his wife - for a second time, this time, more intensely, because she was his, and alive, for a full month before she inexplicably disappeared in that earthquake.

And so she'll find the big guy practicing his coin tricks (it relaxes him, makes him think of nothing) in the common room, by the fire.

She's welcome to say hello.

It's a relief to Mal that the house is back to whatever passes for normal here, but that normal might just be about to be upset.

"Why hello there." A strapping woman may lean against the doorway.

This gal looks like she could hand Mal's handsome ass to him if it came to that, but he appreciates the greeting. "Hello yerself," he says, getting up. Ma raised him to treat ladies like ladies. "New to th' Mansion?" he asks.
