The Shy Intellectual Type in_summer_leaf April 6 2011, 16:21:26 UTC
Hisoka is having a bit of a struggle getting his intellectual persona interfaced with the Arabian Nights fantasy theme, but he does like a challenge.

In the end, he dons his "Hot Librarian" garb - a crisp white shirt over flannel trousers and softly polished loafers, topped with a casually-knotted black tie and a pair of "intellectual spectacles" - big, round, silver wire-rims, through which his large green eyes gleam intelligently. (And shyly!)

Then he puts a silver bangle on his wrist. It is formed in the shape of a snake that wraps several times around his slender, sinewy forearm. Emerald eyes gleam from its head, and a forked, ruby tongue darts from its mouth.

Then he stands near the door, quietly waiting to greet the guests and other Hosts.

Hisoka responds, "No, but I hear it's a really big continent!"

Helen smiles indulgently. "That, it is," she replies. "Perth enjoys very dry climate - it's not the Kalahari... but..."

It could be.

"Then the Mansion must feel rather strange to you," Hisoka says, thoughtfully. "What else can you tell me about Australia? What do you miss, besides the weather?"

Helen smiles a little. "I've been away from down under for so long, frankly... it's not a big deal. I just miss the quiet."

Hisoka nods. "From what people have said about Australia, I'd imagine there is enough open space left so that there can be quiet. In contrast to the more urbanized areas of the globe..."

[Ok if we FTB after your next post? These two are comforable enough with each other - short conversations are ok with me.]

"That is very true," Helen replies. "One could easily find a spot where to lose track of all human civilization...

FTB is fine by me!

After spending time with Utena, Duck wanders over to Hisoka. The clothes everyone is wearing keep distracting her.

Hisoka smiles when he sees her coming. He is just plumping up the sitting-pillows around the low table. "Ahiru!" he says, "Come, sit down."

Dean has always gone for hot librarians. If he knew that's what Hisoka called that getup mentally, he probably would've stayed away entirely for the sheer (and utterly illogical) fear that he'd be called on it. But he doesn't know, so when he finds himself alone and spots his friend, he heads over to poke fun.

"Dude. Minus five style points for not enough feathers." Grin.

"Not enough feathers? How many feathers do you need to be convinced this is a den of sensuous luxury in a seedy Hollywood movie?" demands Hisoka.

Before his friend can come back with a smartass reply, Hisoka ducks into the costume area and returns with a paper sack full of suspiciously glittery and shiny and fluffy stuffs. He pulls out handfuls of gaudy, dyed plumes of god only knows what unfortunate bird. With deft fingers, he sticks them into a turban made of snow-white sparkly cloth, and pulls it onto his head. He snaps his arms into imperiously folded position, and the red, green, blue, magenta, and violet feathers dance around his face. The effect is positvely barbaric. "This good enough for you?"

Hisoka's utterly pleased to see Dean, in case he can't tell.^^ And it's a good thing Hisoka doesn't know about Dean's hot librarian kink. He'd find some way to plague him about it.>D

Oh, Hisoka still has a lot to learn about Dean if he thinks he can beat that boy's mouth simply by walking away. Instead Dean just hollers across the distance, "Right now you're at about B-level - I'm gonna need Straight to DVD before I'm even willing to consider it!"

And, well, let's be honest. Hisoka kind of gives him Straight to DVD. Dean's grin widens, the green eyes sparking with something that might have once been called glee. "I ain't seen that many feathers since Sam left me alone on the Vegas strip."

Hisoka replies, "You haven't, huh? Maybe you need a few more to fully satisfy your nostalgia?" He whisks another batch of eye-searingly colored materials out of the bag and swiftly assembles another headpiece of the same pattern. He approaches Dean with a menacing sparkle in his eye and lifts the turban to drag it down over Dean's head.

Dean manages to see where this is going about half a second before Hisoka thinks to turn his malicious, evil intent on him; the grin slides off the side of his face instantly and his eyes dart around looking for cover. Nothing but cushions and curtains, though, nothing substantial to put between himself and his friend - which means defense is out.

Offense it is.

Dean backs a step closer to the nearest pile of seatcushions, then crouches and lunges for one to pelt in Hisoka's direction in the same movement, trying to avert imminent disaster. "Oh no you don't..."

The deadly missile misses Hisoka's head and smacks him in the chest. "OOF!" But he quickly recovers, batting the cushion to the floor. "You think to evade my plan to recruit you as an honorary Host, do you? Well, think again!" He chuckles an evil chuckle and suddenly springs, the terrible turban in his hands.

Dean, from his crouch, drops a shoulder and rolls to one side of Hisoka's leap; he'd grabbed another cushion while his first shot gained him time, and he uses this one as a short-range weapon to bat at the offending vestment in an attempt to knock it free of Hisoka's hands.

"The only thing I host is beerpong, dude! You think again!"
