There was so much sexual tension between Will and Bryan Ryan it was sort of ridiculous that they *didn't* kiss. I mean, obviously Bryan and his 'closeted' behavior regarding his love for singing/performance was all about being gay, and his constant baiting of Will (during h.s. and during the present) was clearly just his own reaction to what he deemed an inappropriate attraction
( ... )
What I take issue with is the fingers-in-the-ears reaction to his father trying to have the very conversation Kurt *asked* him to have just last episode. To be fair, Kurt asked his dad to educate himself so that if/when KURT came to BURT with questions, he would know what to say. There's a fairly big leap there. (Also, while I would even go so far as to believe that Kurt is so uncomfortable with the actual sexual aspects regarding his sex life that he truly might not know that much about the 'mechanics' of gay sex, I have a hard time believing that Kurt does not know about contraception, STDs, etc. which is an entirely different matter
( ... )
Well, Kurt's canonically gay. You can't show canonically gay characters on TV in sexual relationships. It makes the straight people uncomfortable

I've come in to this whole show backwards. My canon is fanfiction...the show is not accurate at all! Like fanfiction done poorly.
I think in one of the threads of conversation about this episode someone said that Kurt was portrayed as childish for not wanting to talk about sex with his dad. Hello! I would cheerfully pour concrete into my ears to avoid sex talk with either parent! I don't think it made him childish...I think that was pretty real. I also think he knew all about sex before that talk, even if he hadn't experienced it yet. He has enough respect for his dad to let him talk, to look engaged (if traumatized) and to appreciate the effort involved. (It couldn't have been easy for a middle aged man to show up at the free clinic and ask for literature on gay sex
( ... )
That was me that called Kurt's reaction childish. Which is was, because sticking your fingers in your ears and chanting 'not listening' is something most of us grow out of before we hit seventeen

See, this is why I'm only in fandom! Fandom usually has continuity!
I didn't see last weeks episode, naturally, so I didnt' know about a previous encounter with dad. Tho for real I would totally plug my ears if my dad tried to talk to me about sex and I'm well past 17.
In bed? But not sex, right? Since they're saying he's pure.
Right, Blaine was drunk, Kurt was not, so he took Blaine home with him and let him sleep it off in his bed. Nothing happened, but Burt was understandably not impressed.
Last night's episode was so traumatizing that I dreamt up a better version of it in full Puck/Kurt technicolor glory complete with kisses and destroyed Dalton uniforms. Even dopey!Finn and Carole made an appearance; apparently the lack of Carole in the episode was making my subconscious kick and scream and pitch a fit (seriously, she was so chill when Finn apparently knocked up Quinn, she would totes buy Kurt that book). Don't they live together now? We never see the Hudson half of the Hummel-Hudsons. Or the adopted Puckerman half. Just sayin'.
Even the garage made an appearance, only this time with the appropriate people in it.
The more I think about Blaine, the more I dislike his character. It sort of hurts to hate him, because he had so much potential, but they're completely murdering my perception of him. I like what prosen8966 said about how Kurt comes off as completely sexless to Blaine. There is no way they can set up a relationship when Blaine is as shallow as he is

You know what I keep noticing about the new Hummel/Hudson house? How dark and depressing it seems when they film there. It should feel brighter, happier. And we never see Carole or Finn. Just feels off IJS. I bet your technicolor version is much better!!
Maybe when Kurt comes back home for real they'll open up a window and invite Carole back in... I wonder where they're keeping her.
A part of me wished Blaine had come in as established and gay with a boyfriend on the side, just to be Kurt's mentor and friend. It would have been idealistic, but this is Glee, you know? The other half is wishing that they would have Kurt realize how toxic Blaine is, but I don't even think the writers understand what they're doing with Blaine. It's all very depressing on a creative level, because only some viewers understand how Blaine's presence is affecting Kurt negatively and the writers are listening to those viewers. It would be much more powerful to have Kurt come out the stronger, better person without Blaine.
