So I have been immersed in this Glee universe for a little over a month now, and that means, of course, that I have been cultivating soundtracks for both the Puck/Kurt storyline, and the Finn-centric offshoot. I mentioned the Finn mix awhile back when I first started tossing around the Jay-Z references

Okay, if we are going to give geeky admissions here, when I got to "If I were a Boy" and actually thought about it I might have actually teared up. I mean. FINN Him and his cluelessness and his stupid confused face and his willingness to try and damn it. It must be hormones or something but seriously. Um. Beyonce reference made me cry, I have no shame. "Tell everyone it's broken so they'd think I'm sleeping alone."

THE MIXES. OH MY. TWO! I love them. Hootie! And the explanations make me smile like a little kid and ... now that narcotics are out of my system I can say without question it's just you who make me feel warm and fuzzy. ♥

I, too, am working on a piece I can't even believe I'm going to try. I might email you about it soon. And there might be tears. ;)

Finn breaks my heart on a regular basis. I like him so much better in fic! WHO KNEW. But yes, some growth looks good on him, painful as it is. I'm enjoying the process, however slow and torturous.

Having said that, I'm so glad you got the Beyonce song! I don't care if everyone else thinks I'm a loon (spoiler: they do!) as long as you get where I was going with that.

I will look forward to your e-mail! I should go to bed soon, because I have been staying up way too late lately and it's affecting my work days, but I will get to it first thing if you don't send it before I pass out.

Oh my god I never even considered Nada Surf's "Popular" for Finn but you are so damn right, you are! Just a spot on song, really. Well, from what I can tell from watching just the pilot so I'm way behind but still. :D

Of course I think Nada Surf is the perfect soundtrack for everything ever, but this particular song was kind of written for Glee in general. Only years earlier, obv. And it's not that singable, so we'll never hear it on the show, but MAN. We should.

but I'm not even gonna lie. I was so happy that I found this mix. Like, first off, I had cinderlily's for-friggin'-ever and if it were a CD, it'd be dead that's how often I listen to it (excessive use of italics for optimum convincing). Um. I feel like I should be embarrassed admitting that, but I'm not because it's so good. KIND of beside the point. What I'm trying to say is: yay! More music! And not just more music! More music for this verse, which, God, Glee could jump off the deep end and do something so ridiculous I would have to stop watching, but you know what?

I'd have this verse. And I'd adopt it as my canon and read it forever. Trufax. <3
