During Phil Harris' speech about working with his boys and how lucky he is to have that my heart just ached. Poignant stuff. I'm glad Jake H. is going to go back. I hated thinking about him being away from his dad and how that would screw him up forever.
And french toast is delicious. Just saying.
Jake A. will be in for a rough ride when his boat gets to hear his comments about their treatment of him. If he thought it was bad before he'd best brace himself for what's to come.
This whole episode was just heartbreaking. And now Jake Harris gets to spend the rest of his life thinking about how his dad missed his 24th birthday. That's gotta suck.

See, I have a feeling Jake A. didn't say anything last night that the NW crew hasn't heard before. If there's one thing that boy cannot do, it's keep his mouth shut. He wears his heart on his sleeve for sure.
I'm thinking that I'm not going to get through the rest of the season without tears shed. Of course I've been known to cry over commercials so I may not have to much credibility here.
I'm sending you my recipe for baked french toast. Crisp, golden outside while custardy and delicious on the inside. I'm not a waffle fan but if you have a killer recipe I'm willing to discuss.
Very true about Jake A. He's got no filter from thought to speech. It doesn't make him look over-bright sometimes, poor child.
freddie was so nice and accepting of jake a. it's so nice to see him finally smile, after all he's been through. maybe josh got jealous or something, because they both seemed to get along so well.
