Day 12 → Whatever tickles your fancy

What tickles my fancy today is a little fic. Technically this was written as a gift ficlet, but I handed it in a few weeks ago and haven't heard anything about delivery, so I am going to go ahead and post it here. The person it was written for doesn't read my journal (or know me from Adam, for that matter), so it probably doesn't matter.

It's a little Sky High thing I wrote as a prize for one of the Kink Bingo winners, so it has kink in (sort of) but it's PG.

The thing was, it didn't even come as much of a surprise. The Commander liked trophies; everybody knew it, and everybody knew he kept them stashed in his secret sanctum like some kind of shrine to his own awesomeness or whatever. Not a lot of people had seen the shrine, but any superhero who'd ever had a conversation with the Commander had heard about the trophies, and once that whole thing with the Pacifier went down, everybody else heard about the Commander's collection too.

So not a lot of people had seen it, but Warren had been hanging out with Will long enough to be exempt from the 'no outsiders in the sanctum' rule. Well, he was exempt as far as Will was concerned. The Commander still didn't trust him. Every time he said it out loud Will told him he was just being paranoid, but Warren knew what those looks the Commander shot him every so often meant, and it wasn't just because Warren was fucking his son. Maybe that was part of it, yeah, but Warren was pretty sure if his father wasn't Barron Battle, Will's old man would have gotten over the whole 'gay son' thing by now.

Maybe. It was hard to say with him.

So Warren steered clear of the sanctum for the most part, but he'd been in there often enough to know when the Commander added a new trophy. Which meant that when Will dragged him down to the sanctum to hunt for his missing PlayStation controller, the first thing Warren noticed was the latest addition to the Commander's collection.

At first he figured he was imagining things. Sure, the entire Stronghold family could be pretty naive, but not even they could miss something this obvious. Only he'd been staring at it for five minutes now, and he couldn't come up with a single other theory to explain it.

"Where did this come from?"

Will appeared at his side instantly, cheek brushing his shoulder and if Warren hadn't been so disturbed by the Commander's latest trophy, he might have enjoyed the contact. "Dad confiscated it after the cops rounded up Destructo and his gang. He's not sure what it is yet, some kind of shrink ray or something. He's planning to take it apart and figure it out so it can't accidentally do any damage. After that whole Pacifier thing he's kind of sensitive."

Which was understandable; Warren certainly wasn't in a hurry to relive changing any of his teacher's diapers, that was for sure. But this...this was so far beyond the whole Pacifier thing he wasn't even sure where to start. And yeah, he could see the Commander not putting two and two together, considering, but Will should have been able to work it out. The case itself looked like an old metal toolbox with a hole drilled in the side, a steel rod protruding from what Warren guessed was a motor hidden inside. At the end of the steel rod was what looked like...Warren leaned in to get a closer look, his skin heating up a degree or two as he confirmed that yeah, it was exactly what he thought it was.

"I hate to be the one to break it to you, Stronghold, but this isn't a shrink ray."

"How can you tell?" Will asked, leaning in to peer at the box and man, Warren had been falling down on the job if Will didn't recognize a dildo when he saw one.

Warren reached over and flipped the switch on the side of the box, ignoring Will's panicked 'wait' as the rod started moving in and out, thrusting the thick, black latex dildo back and forth. "Dude, this is a fucking machine. Homemade, from the looks of it."

"You mean..."

"Yeah."

Will's eyes went wide, then he glanced at Warren and flushed a shade of red that would have made the Stronghold Three proud. Will reached out to turn off the machine and picked it up, tucking it under one arm without any effort at all and heading for the elevator that led out of the Sanctum. "We should...uh...test this out. Make sure it's not dangerous."

He headed for the exit without even looking to make sure Warren was following, but it wasn't like he had to worry about Warren turning down an invitation like that. He didn't even ask what Will was planning to tell his old man when he noticed his latest trophy had gone missing. As far as Warren was concerned he already knew the answer: As little as possible.
