Yuletide Fics (my own this time): Three Flavors

It's the first day of the new year, and you know what that means. Yuletide author reveals! It also means I can claim my own stories, which I will post here for posterity. So I don't hink I would have ever ever read a Saved! fic but then I would pretty much read anything for you. And oh am I glad for it. You know me and kids in fic I am pretty weak for it but a fic that actually deals with the realities that most people just gloss over and the fact that he doesn't seem sad, just ready makes me just want to give this entire fic a huge freaking hug. Sweet, well written and just pure. Awww. Also, LILY. <3 :)

I will be back to read the others!

There's really very, very little Saved! fic, and most of it is either Mary- or Roland-centric, for obvious reasons. But once I started thinking about what would happen to Dean after, it opened up this little world and I enjoyed fleshing it out. I thought about giving him more angst, but he was so *hopeful* at the end of the movie that it didn't feel right to me.

I wanted to explain in the story that Lily was named after Mary's mother Lilian, but I couldn't figure out how to work it in there :)

Fuck! I knew there was a story I forgot to rec yesterday! Also, now that I know you wrote it, I have to read the Sky High story.

Ha! No worries, but thanks for the thought. I'm very pleased that my little Saved! effort resonated with a few people; it was pretty fun considering Dean for awhile.

The Sky High story is pretty predictably me, but I realized in reading requests that I usually write them in established relationship fic, so I thought I'd give the whole awkward 'getting together' fic a try.
