This post is the product of two things: The writers' strike and a new addition to my friends list.

Last week before the writers went on strike, I pointed a new Harlan/Marcus fan toward an old post I wrote pimping them. Only the picture links didn't work anymore, since they were housed on nickandgreg.com, and I never bothered to move them. So singing_sands

If I don't love the unloved rare fandoms, who will? Besides, the pool scene alone is worth it. You can't not laugh at that scene.

I got into this movie first years ago when you pimped it and the other Brotherhood ones. Whilst it's terrible, compared to some of the truly, truly crappy horror movies I've seen in the past, Brotherhood 2 is like, the Shakespeare of badness. (At least this one has slashy fun, the other horrors are just... bad)

The fic is still a fun read though. XD Poor puppy Marcus and his following of Harlan. XD

It's actually a better movie when you break it up into little clips. Much more palatable when you cut out the boring slo-mo bits DeCoteau uses to stretch out the action.

Harlan/Marcus for the win! The Jogging scene is awesome. I still have strange tingly feelings for the dude I call Fishboy ("You mean he wasn't bowled over by your sparkling personality?")

I still think my favourite DeCoteau will always be LEECHES, as it hits me where I live, and it's Just. So. Bad *g*

The jogging scene is my happy place. And now that I have separated it from the full movie it is so going on my iPod. I am so lame.

Leeches is an excellent choice. Now that I'm uploading clips to Youtube maybe I'll do some Leeches. And Voodoo Academy. And The Frightening. My Youtube account will be an ode to the greatness of bad DeCoteau movies.

Alex (aka Fishboy) remains a worrying obsession for me when I watch BROTHERHOOD 2.

Haven't seen THE FRIGHTENING- is it actually any good? (DeCoteau Good, anyway)?!

I think The Frightening is kind of good even for DeCoteau. The gratuitious mostly naked dance montage is lame, as usual, but the plot is pretty interesting and not terribly written.
