Seriously, thanks go, first of all, to Van Hansis and Jake Silbermann for the characters they created (because it was mostly their work that did it), and, somewhat grudgingly, to ATWT et al. for putting them on the air. Also to Jake, for writing and playing a character with tattoos, which inspired the whole damn thing; to the Twitterverse, for encouraging our insanity, and for not killing us for spamming with #SurferHips hashtags; and to surfers, for having those hips in the first place.
