I think for the first time ever, I am actually pissed off with LiveJournal. There have been many times where people have been pissed off at one thing or another, but I was always thinking, "Who cares?" I understand why they are teaming up with other companies. Words can't describe how shocked and saddened I was to read that. For the first time I too, am incredibly disappointed by LJ. I cannot believe they actually used the word "satirical" to describe and pardon the content of communities like that and let them stay open, but a place to share music or movie files is unacceptable in their eyes. *shakes head*

*frowns* agreed... i read the first part and was like "yeah, i never understand why everyone is getting all shitty", but now there seems to be a reason. sad. the whole thing is just sad. that communities and people like that exist and that the existence of these things [and the people who allow it but disallow harmless sharing of media] dishearten us so much we're all but ready to give up.

That's so out of control. Hmmm music versus immoral behavior. They better not shut down my music comms because I'm going to pissed. I can't get to try new international artists anywhere else but here without buying thier stuff and shipping is a bitch for something you may not even like. >_

I have no idea what caused the original crackdown, but I know they've shut down a few of the biggest ones. I wish I could find a post about it somewhere but I haven't come across one. Just heard it through word of mouth.

I hope they don't shut down yours. :\ I got all my rare stuff from the one they shut down. I am so pissed.
