You do look young, Ms. Cierra... you'd be surprised how much a haircut can help. But don't bemoan looking young.. hope that in 10 years you still look young, when everyone else is starting to look old.

It's legitimate though, especially in this profession. You want to make sure that you stand out from the students. It can be hard for women of your age I think, because you don't want to dress like an old maid, but everything deemed fashionable makes a girl look like she's sixteen.

Yeah, and I did start teaching here when I was nineteen.

These two sixth years were having an argument about one of them apparently bullying a younger student. It was starting to get a little out of hand, so I told them to stop it and one of them asked me who the hell I was.

...He said sorry, though!

Well, we should follow up then, and see what we can do about this bullying.

There's not much we really can do. There's no rule against saying things, which is all that happened as far as I can gather.

I don't think short hair will change anything.

You just gotta be stricter to let those kids know who's boss.

I'm not very good at being strict.

I'm sure you're perfect just the way you are. Don't get discouraged I'm positive you're a wonderful teacher.
