Well, I'm a "trained" literary analyst, and so I see this stuff and it bothers me. And I think that there's a tendency in fandom to not want to criticize canon because it's canon -- let's remember where that word comes from; some people act like this stuff is from the mouth of God, untouchable, when that's . . . like not criticizing your government. Just because something is bigger and more powerful than you doesn't mean that it's infallible. Bones is especially bad about this, since so much of the fandom is just devoted to the pretty.
And I yammer. But I completely agree with you re: half-naked (or all naked!) Booth; we also share a similar affinity for DB shoving people against things. Mrowr.
