I am guessing, though, that the wild game/fish influx may not keep you going forever, and you may have to eventually go buy meat at a store. (IE mean bacon cravings) Any reputable farmer should be willing to open up their operation and let you visit. I recommend field trips to some come springish. They won't be personal friends, but you'll get to observe how things work firsthand and feel better about the whole process. ALSO- do you buy your free range meat at farmers' markets? Sometimes you can network with producers there and make some really good bulk buys.
