I think every car I have ever owned, foreign and domestic, does the same nonsense with the screws/bolts/something to attach the damned tags onto the housing of the damned car. Is one tool at a time so much to ask?

The 'Dear Buick' part made me lol. Although I live in a state where we only have to worry about the plate on the rear of the vehicle - what happens if the car doesn't have holes for a front plate? Or do they all and I've just never noticed?

Thank goodness for a happy ending though! Have you ever watched the A&E show 'Parking Wars'? This whole story could have had a lot more crying and yelling and cussing (yes more than the implied WTF that occurred after a few of those phone calls!) ;)

I know! It was a little ridiculous.

I do still have to get the car inspected (on Dec 23). But at least I can drive legally until then...
