What are you thoughts in general on the movie? Have you seen this movie before? If so, did you enjoy a repeated viewing? If not, what did you think? Did you have expectations going into it? I love this friggin movie. Its a classic. It is so ridiculous and random that you cannot NOT enjoy it. I first watched it with my mom when I was 12 (Awkward) because she played the songs on the way to Hebrew School one day and she finally relented. It was alot of fun. I even dressed up as Magenta at 17 try explaining to your classmates in spanish you fucked your brother XDDD and I got 100000 Catcalls that day.
Which characters did you like the most? The least? Magenta is my favorite (Duh), then Columbia, then Frankenfurther.
Which scene was your favorite and why? The whole part where everyone was shocked when Janet was sleeping with Rocky, then the part where Frankenfurther made everyone dressed as Transvestites for his no audience show.
Which songs did you enjoy the most? Rose Tint my Word, Time Warp, ( ... )

I didn't care for the way they edited Sweet Transvestite for Glee. I mean, if you're going to go there, just go all the way!

*grabs movie, snuggles it* LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!! I first saw it when I was 18, (I wanted to watch it earlier, but my mom vetoed that! She couldn't stop me when I turned 18!) I have seen it, many times (though I've never seen it at a Midnight Showing at a movie theater, so I'm a "virgin"). I've seen the movie on tape and DVD, but not with other people! I love it so much!! The only expectation I had going into watching it was that I would hopefully enjoy it! And boy, did I ever!!

Which characters did you like the most? The least?

The Most: Magenta, Columbia, Riff Raff, Frank and Eddie. They're so much fun, and quirky, and so very naughty!! LOL!!! The Least: Brad and Janet. They were so both annoying to me. I had a hard time feeling anything other than annoyance with them.

This will probably get me strung up but I didn't like it. I watched it years ago so I could understand what people fawned over but... I didn't get it. Still don't get it and I've TRIED. I've never been to one of the live shows so I don't know if there's an element missing that feeds off the audience.

The whole movie creeps me out in general and I think it's because I just don't get it. So many people I'm friends with love it and because I don't understand it, it makes me kind of hate it a little, ngl. Which has nothing to do with the movie, exactly, but makes me think differently of it when usually with movies I dislike I can shrug and move on. But with this one it evolves into active hatred.
Which characters did you like the most? The least? I'd have to say probably Rocky for who I liked the "most" (which isn't saying much), just because he ( ... )

I think you definitely miss out on something if you don't see it with the audience participation. As a movie in and of itself, it's a cheeseball!

I don't get some parts of it either. I think there are parts the audience probably isn't really meant to get anyway.

These days, I think of the movie as really a period piece more than anything else. So much of it references the schlocky horror films of the time -- kind of like the Scary Movie series does now -- that it's hard to get everything that's there now.

It was dumb the first time around, and not worth a repeat. There was a theater in DC though that would play it where people could do the full experience. I had some friends who went. I only watched it on TV.

Which scene was your favorite and why? Any of the ensemble dances.
Which songs did you enjoy the most? Time Warp (?) (you take a step to the riiiiiiiiiiiight)
Which character from The Rocky Horror Picture Show are you? Brad Majors, the description of which didn't fit me at all.

It's kind of a stupid movie, if you just watch the film, I agree. The audience participation parts make it more of an experience.

Okay, so, I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like this movie. I wouldn't say dumb per say, just embarrasing in a way that makes me uncomfortable.

I love this movie so much!! I have the VHS super duper boxed set with the cassette tape of the soundtrack, the soundtrack with the audience partici-----pation and the Broadway soundtrack. The first time I saw it was with a bunch of people from work. We arrived slightly late, so we missed the virgin bit at the beginning so I never had to go up and get my cherry popped in subsequent viewings. I've also seen the musical as one of the theater companies did it here a decade or so ago. I agreed to be an usher for the theater company so that I could see it for free as many times as I liked.
Which characters did you like the most? The least? I love Frank! I don't really dislike anyone.
Which scene was your favorite and why? Frank posing as Janet was probably my first ever slash exposure. I also love Frank's introduction.

Yeah, the "virgin" hazing bit at the beginning of things really threw me whenever I went. But I love so much of the rest of the audience participation. I assume these things change over the years, but I haven't been to one in almost a decade now, so I don't know if they have.

I'd love to see this in the theatre, but I am a bit wary of the whole virgin thing. I don't like crowds but I'm more or less okay with being inside a crowd. I'm not so okay with being put on the spot in front of a crowd. Just thinking about it makes me all kinds of uncomfortable.
