All great conversations start with, "So, I have this life coach..."

So, my life coach - his name is Keith, I need to just call him Keith - told me last night, after I basically had this conversation with him, that I should really consider texting Tom and asking him out - or, inviting him to dinner in a sneakily-platonic-but-not-really kind of way. He said I should really consider it and then just do it already ( Read more... )

let's keep this on the dl, stupid boys: tom, clicky boxes are awesome, kate is freaking out!, kate is a nutjob, i will go down with this ship, kate in real life, dating is the fucking devil!, kate pretends to be an adult

DO IT!!

I mean, yeah, there's always the chance of rejection, but there's always a chance he'll say yes too! And at least this way you'd know, ya know?? :)

That's totally what Keith said. Well, he said it's not rejection and that Tom would probably feel flattered that I asked, even if he's not interested. Or whatever. I dunno.

Anyway... guh. I'm so nervous!

That's true, he sounds like a guy that would be really flattered by you asking him and even if he didn't want to go out he'd be really kind about it.

I know it's easy for me to sit here and tell you to do it cos I know how hard it is, and how nervous you must be, but I'll be right here cheering you on and hoping he says yes!! :D

He is a really nice guy. And I'm sure he'd totally let me down gently if he wasn't interested. I'm just sucky at this whole thing in general. LOL

I'm tempted to go halfway and say something like, "You know, if you ever get bored when the kids are gone and want company, I'm just a text away." Or something of that nature.

OMG, I'm totally a spazz. LOL

Do it love! The worse that could happen will be a rejection right? But think about the possibilites if he'll say yes... :D

I don't wanna feel all weird around him if it doesn't happen, but yeah. Worst case scenario, he says no.

You'd think I'd be braver about this. LOL

I wanna say 'do it!' but I know how easy it is to sit here and say 'do iiit' cause if I'd been in your shoes I'd be fucking terrified XD I'm terrible at telling people I like them, I just crush on them from afar. but then that kinda sucks too, you know, probably worse than being turned down in the end.

so this was a helpful answer. LOL. I say do it, if you can :)

Haha - I know. I say that to people all the time. Just do it! And I'm like, "Would you do it?" And then I think, "HELL NO!" Haha.

But, I dunno. I'm going to try. I think. Maybe. :P

Knowing is better than wondering. If he says no, (his loss and) you can move on. If he says yes, THEN YAY ALL AROUND! <3

Good luck, bb. x
