I don't know if you saw me flailing over it on my LJ but as a Dr. Who fan IT FEELS JUST LIKE AN ACTUAL TRUEFAX EPISODE. Her Doctor is unbelievably true to form and is soooo amazeballs. (and when you watch DW stick with it - it gets better. Nine's episodes are pretty cheesy but they get better and then you fall in love with Nine and Ten and ELEVEN. OH, MY HEART ♥)

Okay, so here's the thing: I can't watch Hawaii Five-0. I can't. I lived in Hawaii from age 3-17, and the major problem with the entire concept of the show in general is this: It would be extremely rare to find two cop partners who are both young and white in Hawaii. Hawaii's demographics just don't work that way!

I know you have to suspend your disbelief in any of these shows where there are hot young people doing these jobs, but I just can't do it for this show. I also have to keep myself from watching it because I'm sure that the depictions of local culture would drive me insane. Hawaii is a place that's absolutely impossible to even remotely understand unless you've lived there for at least several years (visiting there on vacation won't do it, even if you've done it several times). Every attempt to depict it has always come off as cheesy and sometimes even sort of Orientalist.

Second... I totally understand not wanted to watch it based on your arguments. Honestly, never even thought of it. LOL. I started watching it because I'm pretty much in love with all things Scott Caan... but then totally got pulled in by the storyline. It's so much fun!

Then again, I'm into all those cop shows. LOL. :)

Mmkay. Fic is on the list (don't look at me like that), signed up for the exchange, still drastically behind on H50 but I'll get there, and as for that last part now I'm all depressed because that's what happens when I even think about that movie. Guh.

But it's all good, because I have fics to read and even more fics to plan, in the hopes that more bunnies don't pile on top because my brain can only take so much before it actually explodes, and wouldn't that be a mess.

Not lying. I need to work on my words. I have a lot of them, but they're all in my head and mostly in the wrong order.

And the icon is step one in getting you to read Glee fic. It's mostly subliminal, you see. Step two is less so, aka making you beta all of my shit. Step three is the rec list of ultimate awesome that I'm working on. Step four...is basically just not leaving you alone until you agree with me. :DDD
