Aha, secrets revealed - noo. =P
I actually really like this tutorial..it works with ALOT of images, with only a little bit of tweaking.

There's a Drop down list in the layers panel.
Normal, Dissolve, Darken..etc. etc.

They turned out nice, very nice. =)
This tutorial totally goes with heaps of different image qualities.
