Guys, I'm going to start with a story about my refrigerator. Trust me; it's relevant.
We bought a new refrigerator a few months ago and I can't even tell you how much I love this thing. It's kind of embarrassing. My husband actually makes fun of my affection for it. It's stainless steel, armoire style, which means the freezer is a drawer on the

2. Dean still has the cursed mark -- he's not registering as a demon as per eyes, holy water, traps etc..... but the mark is still there. Cas even explicitly reminded us of it. How demonic does that make him???
3. Crowley is still too human for the other demons, and still so human that he needs Cas around to take care of Dean. It's very interesting to me, because even tho Crowley is no longer addicted to human blood, he's still acting like the cure had a lasting effect on him.
Great ep I thought ! :)

I don't think it makes him demonic per se... The holy water didn't have an effect on him. But it's definitely going to do something to him.

Throughout all of the Sam/Dean scenes, Dean is the same as we saw last week... sly, snarky, and fantastic. Sam, on the other hand, swings wildly from cold-blooded hunter to kicked puppy to concerned brother to cornered bunny, and it's all breathtakingly good.
Perfect good description! Just how good was this?
And then Cas shows up to save the day and he just... holds onto Dean? And he can't get away? WTF?
I think we're meant to believe that Cas uses his angel mojo and that it does something to the demon in Dean. I'm not quite sure what that's supposed to be exactly, but I don't really care. :)
Now, what would Sam have done if Cas hadn't showed up just then? Would he have killed Dean? Personally, I don't think so.Me neither ( ... )

Well, that's about as perfect a summing-up as I've seen. ;)
I'm honestly not sure how I feel about the Lester thing. I mean, obviously, I'm not sad he's dead, because he was a pop-evopsych-spouting tosspot of the highest order, but I think I did actually gasp out loud when I realised what Sam was going to do. SAM. D:
And then Cas shows up to save the day and he just... holds onto Dean? And he can't get away? WTF? Is it because Dean is only partially demon?
That was my assumption. If at that point he's human enough that anti-demon restraints don't work on him, presumably the payoff is that he loses some of his demonic powers.
I love that Jensen can show us Dean is back just by giving us this face.YES. That moment was just perfect. (It's also why I can't currently buy the 'he's still a demon and faking' theories I've seen going round, fascinating as the idea is. I mean, there's ( ... )

I'm going to forgive him because (a) it was Sam (b) saving Dean and (c) I'm sure he thought he'd be able to stop the process before Lester actually sold his soul.

He can't fake being immune to holy water. I don't think he's faking it. But yeah, he's still got the Mark. If that doesn't have an impact on him I'm going to be disappointed. And pissed.
I suspect your prediction for next episode is correct.
I've made my peace with it.

I guess if you really wanted to fanwank it, there was a fair bit of time when Dean was in the room with all the demon-curing stuff and Sam wasn't, so it's possible he could've switched it. I really doubt it, though.
