10.01 Drabble

The lovely kalliel challenged us to write a drabble for each episode of season 10. I don’t remember if she specified a word count, but I decided to limit myself to 100 words anyway:

(ETA... I guess she said coda, not drabble. But I'm making this my own personal challenge now: 100 words for each episode.)

Behind a cut in case you haven't seen 10.01 but it's barely spoilery )

season 10, chat, 10.01 black, drabble, supernatural

"Out of holy water." WOMAN, YOU'RE KILLING ME. XD I surely hope not, omg. My mind supplied "out of line" but I like your first two options better. I'm not sure Castiel actually has enough high ground to determine when Sam is in or out of line. XPP

I love this drabble to pieces, also. <33 I can imagine demon Dean offhandedly shorthanding the whole Amelia thing, and Crowley being able to slice through the chaff to get at all then unspoken broken pieces.

Yes, you KNOW how easily Crowley would read between the lines, that magnificent bastard.

The drabble is perfect! I am a big fan of the form and you've made fantastic use of it: packed with great characterisation and leaving us with what, I believe, the Tumblr crowd calls 'feels'. I'll be looking forward to the rest of your drabbles this season.

The first episode confused me, I must admit. No amount of re-watching certain scenes has helped me much. (Although if I spent more time focusing on details and less on the sweet angst, I might have had better luck.) I do hope the mystery of why Sam thought that demon was possessing Dean gets solved soon.

"He actually said “you were out of-“ before Sam cut him off. He must have been saying Sam was “out of control” or “out of your mind” or something along those lines, and surely, surely they’re going to give us a flashback to that. I need it."So do I ( ... )

Thank you! And yes, vague is good, I don't want to be spoiled even (especially) if it's for something I will love.
