On further review: 13.22, “Exodus”

Episode 13.22, "Exodus," was on last night. I watched it, because duh, I'm only human. I mean, yes, there's some ridiculous unnecessary shit in this episode (AU Cas, I'm looking at you, looking RIGHT AT YOU and doing the thing where I point to my eyes and then your eyes to make sure you know I'm LOOKING AT YOU) but it also has one of my favorite

I remember them saying at a con before this aired that the hug scene was written one way, but they thought it should be more like this so they changed it, and I'm forever thankful that J2 get their characters so well, because this was really the emotional core of the episode.

So, so well said. I always assumed Sam was apologizing for bringing Lucifer to camp, but Dean so clearly doesn’t care, as you say. All that matters to Dean is that Sam’s alive. So right! Now I’m just gonna dab my eyes a little...
