[She'd waited a few days before venturing outside, partly so that she could come to terms with what she might find, and partly because she lacked opportunity. But Tybalt did eventually have to go back out in search of firewood, and when he did, she slipped from the house herself, PCD in her bag, her shawl giving her little protection against the

Riku!
[Seeing it's someone she knows, she clings more tightly and shakes her head.]
Oh, Riku, but I saw - I saw Mercutio - I saw what Tybalt did to him. And then Romeo - and I -
[She breaks off, choking on a sob. It's too much to take in all at once.]

Welp. This was awkward. He froze for a moment, brief and barely there, before relaxing against her, realizing that it was just Juliet and not some illusion brought on by the fog.
His arms wrap around her waist gently, trying to be comforting and probably failing.]
Listen to me, Juliet. What you saw isn't real. Nothing's going to happen to either of you.

It did happen! Nanny told me of it just before I found myself here. Tybalt and Mercutio fought in the streets, and Tybalt - Tybalt killed him. Romeo tried to stop the fight, but it let Tybalt have an opening with his knife. And then Romeo - my Romeo - he - he - I could not watch that, but I know what happened. It is why he was exiled. If that - if that is true, then the rest - oh, God....
[She wraps her arms around him and sobs.]

-=Lease to say he's been running ragged in trying to keep his friends together and in one piece. Finding Juliet the way she was did not help. He goes to grasp her shoulders from behind to turn her away from the stones and redirect her attention.=-
Juliet?

H-hawke?
[She must look a mess. She hasn't been able to stop crying.]

-=He was very adament in getting her away from the stones. He'd seen his own family on them once, Mother, Kohl and Wren. And when he started to feel his vision swim and force into seeing their last breaths, he decided then that these stones were evil.=-
These are things for Shamans and Spirits to understand. They are not for us. Do not stay and think-you will make yourself sick if you try.
-=Yes. Definitely things for Shamans and Spirits. Poe would have turned anyone else away if he had been here as well. Most people had enough difficulty dealing with death as it was.=-

Away? N-no! My Romeo is here - and he is being foolish. Has been foolish. Will be foolish?
[She's watched it happen several times now.]
If they are not for us, then why can we see them?

Juliet... [She reaches to place her hand lightly on the other girl's shoulder. She is someone who understands entirely, someone who's made the same choices: jumping after her lover to their death, stabbing herself through with his sword to join him in the next life when she couldn't be with him in that one.]

Usagi....
[She remembers seeing the other woman like this before, when Bubbles was ill.]
Are you going to tell me to come away from here as well?

Do you want to?
[For herself... she doesn't want to face these things. She'd rather run away and go think of something else, or maybe even fall asleep and take a nap and hope it's gone when she wakes up. But she hadn't been able to escape the horrified fascination, either.]

No one has yet asked me that. I - I do not know. I watch to see my Romeo, but the only way to see him like this is to see him - us - die.

[And following Kirara leads Sango to Juliet. And the graves. And she remembers Tybalt's words, and sees Juliet's name and the name beside it and a wall of denial flings itself up inside her head.]
[She tears herself out of being frozen and doesn't hesitate to pull Juliet into a hug, gently trying to tug the young girl away from the view of the graves.]
They're so cruel, the Animus. Their lies are so well-planned...

It is not a lie. At least, not all of it. There. [She points at a grave a little farther away.] That is Mercutio's. His is real. He died within an hour of my wedding, at my cousin's hand. This I knew, but the Animus showed me how - how it happened.

[That's the worst part. Their ability to keep one guessing.]
Juliet...

[She looks back, numb to the scene itself, to stare at Romeo's brief smile before he lifts his bottle of poison.]

A scream took him out of his semi-daze. Curious, he decided to follow up on it. It sounded real enough, and feminine, so it probably wasn't another one of his own visions. It wasn't long before he stumbled across Juliet.
Well.
He stood there for a while, judging what to do. Now, he decides to take a few steps towards her. Slowly.]
Juliet.

Lord Saxon. I - it is only one, rather than sixteen, but it is still.... I had not thought it would be so soon.
[Her voice is a little shaky and hollow as she speaks.]
Or i-in such a manner as this. It - it cannot be like this.
